"Save You" is a song by American recording artist Kelly Clarkson, from her fourth studio album, '' All I Ever Wanted'' (2009). Written by Ryan Tedder and Aimée Proal, and produced by Tedder, "Save You" is a rock ballad that about a someone's desire to save someone from a self-destructive behaviour. The song, set in the key of E major features an experimental piano bridge based on Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart's works. "Save You" received mixed to positive reviews by music critics, who were equivocal about its production but complimented its experimental bridge and Clarkson's performance. She has also included the song in the set list of the All I Ever Wanted Tour. Background and recording "Save You" was written by Ryan Tedder and Aimée Proal, with Tedder handling its production. A demo of the song was recorded by the rock band Gone 'Til November, whose lead singer is Proal, but after being dropped from Epic Records in 2008, the group disbanded even before recording took place. "Save You" is a song by American rock band Pearl Jam, released on December 9, 2002, as the second single from the band's seventh studio album, ''Riot Act'' (2002). Although credited to all members of Pearl Jam, it features lyrics written by vocalist Eddie Vedder and music primarily written by guitarist Mike McCready. "Save You" is the third and last single from Simple Plan's self titled album. It was announced as the third single in a message to "SP Crew", the band's official members-only club. Lead singer Pierre Bouvier has stated in interviews that the song deals with his brother's dealing with cancer. Song composition The song is in common time throughout and follows the basic ABABCB skeleton, wherein 'A' is the verse, 'B' is the prechorus and chorus, and 'C' is the bridge. The song's verses are in the key of C natural minor and feature a i-VI-III-VII progression repeated three times, with a chord change every two beats. The song then enters a prechorus that slows into a half time. Background "Ohs" are heard as a slow B-A-B progression is played. Using the B (V/I), the song then modulates into E major for the chorus which features a I-V-IV-V progression with a chord change every measure. This progression is repeated twice. ''Provoked'' is a 2006 British biographical drama film, directed by Jag Mundhra. It stars Aishwarya Rai, Naveen Andrews, Miranda Richardson, Robbie Coltrane, Nandita Das and Steve McFadden. The film is loosely based on the true story of Kiranjit Ahluwalia, who unintentionally killed her abusive husband. Cinematography for the film was handled by Madhu Ambat. The film's score and soundtrack was composed by A. R. Rahman, and the theme song for the film, ''Alive'', was composed by Rahman and sung by Karen David, who has a small cameo in the film.
