Geography The village is located between the towns of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon in the south and Roquemaure in the north, and bounded by the Rhône River in the east, and the commune of Pujaut in the west. Amenities The village is primarily a farming community, with a dozen or so shops providing essential local foodstuffs and services, including bakeries, a hairdresser, a grocery, a video rental, two bar-restaurants, a car repair garage, a post office, the town hall and community centre, and a small modern housing development. The main road runs along the foot of a steep escarpment on which the majority of the older houses are located in a labyrinth of steep narrow lanes. Laudun-l'Ardoise (; oc, Laudun) is a commune in the Gard department in Occitanie (southern France). The commune name was ''Laudun'' until February 1, 2001. Population Wine Laudun is one of the communes producing Côtes du Rhône Villages wines, red, rosé and white. The Rhône is one of the main areas for French wines. Some have their own AOC (''Appellation d'origine controlée'') as Châteauneuf-du-Pape, Hermitage and Gigondas -others are selling their wines under the umbrella Côtes du Rhône AOC. Pujaut
Pujaut (; oc, Puejaut) is a commune in the Gard department in southern France. The village is situated on the south side of a small hill overlooking a flat plain that once formed the bed of a lake. The lake was drained at the beginning of the 17th century. The village is located 3.5 km west of the Rhône, 4.5 km north of Villeneuve-lès-Avignon and 5 km south of Roquemaure. Mont Ventoux
Mont Ventoux (; oc, Ventor, label= Provençal ) is a mountain in the Provence region of southern France, located some northeast of Carpentras, Vaucluse. On the north side, the mountain borders the department of Drôme. At , it is the highest mountain in the region and has been nicknamed the "Beast of Provence", the "Giant of Provence", or "The Bald Mountain". Rhône River
