Saul Msane
Saul Msane was a South African politician and an intellectual, a prominent member of the Wesleyan Methodist Church and a newspaper editor. He was one of the founding members of the African National Congress and served as its Secretary General from 1917 to 1924. Methodist Church Of Southern Africa
The Methodist Church of Southern Africa (MCSA) is a large Wesleyan Methodist denomination, with local churches across South Africa, Namibia, Botswana, Lesotho and Eswatini, and a more limited presence in Mozambique. It is a member church of the World Methodist Council. The church is the largest mainline Protestant denomination in South Africa – 7.3% of the South African population recorded their religious affiliation as 'Methodist' in the last national census. The denomination has nearly 2 million members. The African National Congress (ANC) is a Social democracy, social-democratic political party in Republic of South Africa, South Africa. Nkandla, KwaZulu-Natal
Nkandla is a town in the uThungulu district of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa. It is the seat of the Nkandla Local Municipality, and the district in which the residence of the former President of South Africa, Jacob Zuma, is located. The residence is located 40 kilometres to the south of the town of Nkandla, beyond the Nkandla Forest and on the road to Kranskop. The Nkandla region encompasses nearly 115,000 inhabitants, spread relatively sparsely over a large area. Nkandla is mainly a rural area and is in the top five of the poorest places in KwaZulu-Natal province. Poverty is prevalent, with 44% unemployment. The majority of the population are Zulus. A 2004 documentary, ''The Orphans of Nkandla'', by the BBC and Truevision, recounted the hardships and poverty of orphans in Nkandla.
