''Sattekalapu Satteyya'' () is a 1969 Indian Telugu-language film written and directed by K. Balachander, starring Chalam, Sobhan Babu and Rajasree. It was released on 19 June 1969. The film was later remade in Tamil as ''Patham Pasali'' (1970) by Balachander himself, in Hindi as '' Mastana'' (1970) and in Kannada as ''Manku Thimma'' (1980). Chalam (actor)
Chalam (born Simhachalam Korada) (18 May 1929 - 4 May 1989) was an Indian film actor, and producer known for his works primarily in Telugu cinema, and Telugu theatre. In 1971 he produced and acted in ''Mattilo Manikyam'' which won the Best Feature Film in Telugu at the 19th National Film Awards. In a film career spanning 30 years, Chalam was starred in about 150 films in a variety of roles. Personal life Chalam married Ramanakumari, and changed his name to Ramana Chalam. They have 3 children. Ramana Kumari died in 1964 in a fire accident. Chalam later married, to Urvasi Sharada, his co-star in her debut film, ''Tandrulu Kodukulu'' in 1972. They later divorced in 1984. Death Chalam died on 4 May 1989. Due to alcohol addication.in his final days he also suffered from depression. Acharya Aatreya
Acharya Aatreya (born Kilambi Venkata Narasimhacharyulu ) (7 May 1921 – 13 September 1989) was an Indian poet, lyricist, playwright, and screenwriter known for his works in Telugu cinema and Telugu theatre. He received the state Nandi Award for Best Lyricist in 1981 for "Andamaina Lokamani" from the film Tholi Kodi Koosindi, ''Tholikoodi Koosindi''. He is popularly known as ''Manasu Kavi (''). Life Athreya was born on 7 May 1921 in Mangalampadu village near Sullurpeta, Nellore district of the Madras Presidency of British India. His birthname was Kilambi Venkata Narasimhacharyulu. He took ''Acharya'' from his birth name and ''Aatreya'' his Gotra name, combined them as ''Acharya Aatreya'' and adopted it as his pen name. Kosaraju
Kosaraju Raghavayya (23 June 1905 – 27 October 1987), known mononumously by his surname Kosaraju, was an Indian lyricist and poet known for his works in Telugu cinema. He wrote about 3,000 songs in 350 films. His lyrics are steeped in Telugu folklore and rural idiom. He was awarded the prestigious Raghupathi Venkaiah Award by the Government of Andhra Pradesh for his contribution to Telugu cinema in 1984. Indukuri Ramakrishnam Raju (31 August 1934 – 14 August 1994), populary known by his pen name Rajasri, was an Indian lyricist, screenwriter, film director, and music composer in Telugu cinema. He has worked on nearly 1000 films, a majority of them are dubbed films. He was popularly referred to as ''Anuvaada Brahma'' (). He used to pen Telugu lyrics for most of the films dubbed from Tamil in the 1980s and early 1990s. Srirangam Srinivasa Rao (30 April 1910 – 15 June 1983), popularly known as Sri Sri, was an Indian poet and lyricist who is known for his works in Telugu literature and films. Noted for his anthology '' Maha Prasthanam'', Sri Sri is a recipient of a National Film Award, a Nandi Award and a Sahitya Akademi Award. Arudra (born Bhagavatula Sadasiva Sankara Sastry; 31 August 1925 – 4 June 1998) was an Indian author, poet, lyricist, translator, publisher, dramatist, playwright, and an expert on Telugu literature. He is also known for his works in Telugu cinema as a lyricist, dialogue writer, and story writer. He received the Sahitya Akademi Award in 1987.
