Satigny
Satigny is a municipality of the Canton of Geneva, Switzerland. It is the largest municipality of the canton by land area and the largest wine-producing municipality of the country. Its territory contains the majority of the Mandement area, a designated heritage site of national importance shared with the neighbouring municipalities of Russin and Dardagny. Etymology Satigny is first mentioned in 91 as ''villam Satiniatis'', though this comes from a 12th Century copy of the earlier document. In around 1128 it was mentioned as ''de Satiniaco'' and in 1280 as ''Satignie''. The name very likely origins in Gallo-Roman in reference of local Roman owners. The etymology of Peney on the other hand is different and subject to different interpretations. Lyon–Geneva Railway
The Lyon–Geneva railway is an important route in the national rail network. It connects not only Geneva but also feeds the Maurienne railway and the Geneva to Valence via Grenoble line. It carries a variety of traffic: TGV Paris-Geneva, Geneva - South of France, TER Auvergne-Rhône-Alpes, Rhône Express Regional and goods trains. The line is numbered 890 000 of the RFF national network. Route From Lyon-Perrache the line runs round Lyon city centre to Gare de Lyon-Part-Dieu, Lyon-Part-Dieu. The Léman Express is a commuter rail network for the transborder agglomeration of Grand Genève (''Greater Geneva'') in west Switzerland and the French Alps (Haute-Savoie and Ain).
