''Sasidharan'' is a 1950 Indian Malayalam-language film, directed by T Janaki Ram and produced by Swami Narayanan. The film stars Nagavally R. S. Kurup, N. P. Chellappan Nair and Miss Kumari in lead roles. The film had musical score by P. Kalinga Rao. It is the first Malayalam film adaptation of a popular stage play. It is debut Malayalam film of P. Kalinga Rao, T. Janakiram, Aranmula Ponnamma, S. P. Pillai, N. P. Chellappan Nair, Kaviyoor Revamma, P. Mohankumari, and lyricist Thumpamon Padmanabhankutty. Miss Kumari
Miss Kumari (1932–1969) was an Indian actress working in the Malayalam film industry between 1949 and 1969. In the 50's and early 60's she was the most prominent female lead in the Malayalam film industry. She briefly worked as a teacher before she made her film debut in the 1949 film ''Vellinakshatram''. She took on the stage name Miss Kumari on the sets of her second film, ''Nalla Thanka.'' Miss Kumari is noted for her performance in films such as '' Sasidharan'' (1950), '' Chechi'' (1950), ''Yachakan'' (1951), ''Navalokam'' (1951), ''Aathmasakhi'' (1952), '' Alphonsa'' (1952), ''Sheriyo Thetto'' (1953), '' Avakaasi'' (1954), ''Neelakuyil'' (1954), '' C.I.D.'' Aranmula Ponnamma
Aranmula Ponnamma (8 April 1914 – 21 February 2011) was a National Award winning Indian actress known for her roles as mother of the protagonist in numerous films in a career spanning over five decades. She is widely described as a mother figure in Malayalam cinema. In 2005, she was honoured with the J. C. Daniel Award, Kerala government's highest honour for contributions to Malayalam cinema. Early life Ponnamma was born as one of five children of Malethu Kesava Pillai and Parukutty Amma in Aranmula, Pathanamthitta, Travancore. She has four siblings, Ramakrishna Pillai, Pankiyamma, Bhaskara Pillai and Thankamma. She started her career at the age of 12 as a Carnatic music vocalist. Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair
N. Sreedharan Nair (11 September 1922 – 19 October 1986), popularly known as Kottarakkara Sreedharan Nair or just Kottarakkara, was an Indian actor who appeared Malayalam movies. He hailed from Kottarakkara in Kollam district of Kerala. Sreedharan Nair won two Kerala state film awards. In 1970, he won the best actor award and in 1969 the second best actor award. He is best remembered for his role as ''Chempankunju'' in the national award winning film ''Chemmeen'' directed by Ramu Kariat. Other impressive performances were in the films ''Veluthampi Dalava'' (as Veluthampi Dalava), ''Thommante Makkal'' (1965) as Thomman, and ''Pazhassi Raja'' (1964) as Pazhassi Raja, ''Viruthan Shanku'' (1968) by P.
