SC Borea Dresden are a German association football club from the city of Dresden, Saxony. The club dropped the name ''FV Dresden-Nord'' on 1 July 2007 and adopted its current name to help encourage new sponsorship support. Boreas is the Greek god of the North Wind. A midfielder is an outfield position in association football. Midfielders may play an exclusively defensive role, breaking up attacks, and are in that case known as defensive midfielders.
