Tharwat Abaza (28 June 1927 – 17 March 2002) was an Egyptian journalist and novelist. His best-known novel, '' A Man Escaping from Time'', was turned into an Egyptian television series in the late 1960s, and ''A Taste of Fear A Taste of Fear (aliases: Something of Fear or A Bit of Fear or Something from Fear or A Touch of Fear, Egyptian Arabic: ''شئ من الخوف'', translit: ''Shey Min El Khouf'' or ''Shey min al-Khouf'') is a 1969 Egyptian film directed by Hussein ...'', a short story which was turned into an Egyptian film in the late 1960s. A journalist for '' Al Arabi'' newspaper was sentenced to prison for six months due to alleged defamation to Abaza. He died at the age of 74 in 2002. Tharwat Alhajjaj
Tharwat Alhajaj is an Olympic weightlifting champion from Jordan. She represented Jordan in the 2016 Summer Paralympics held in Rio de Janeiro and won a Powerlifting silver. The 43-year-old lifted 119 kg in the women's 86 kg category to take silver behind Egypt's Randa Mahmoud who lifted 130 kg for gold. Bronze went to Mexico's Catalina Diaz Vilchis who managed 117 kg. Tharwat also participated in the Asian Paralympics in 2014 and won a powerlifting silver in the women's 77 kg category, where she lifted 108 kg. Tharwat Okasha (Also spelt Sarwat Okasha, ar, ثروت عكاشة; 1921–27 February 2012) was an Egyptian writer, translator and influential minister of culture during the Nasserite era, and is known as the "founder of Egypt's cultural institutions." Abdel Khalek Sarwat Pasha
Abdel Khalek Sarwat Pasha (1873–1928) ( ar, عبد الخالق ثروت باشا) was an Egyptian political figure. Sarwat served as the Prime Minister of Egypt from 1 March 1922 until 30 November 1922, and again between 26 April 1927 and 16 March 1928. He was instrumental in bringing Great Britain to issue its Unilateral Declaration of Egyptian Independence in February 1922, which ended the British Protectorate of Egypt and recognized it to be an Independent Sovereign State. He was also Minister of Justice (1914–1919), Minister of Interior (16 March 1921 – 24 December 1921), Minister of Foreign Affairs (7 June 1926 – 18 April 1927) as well as the first Egyptian Attorney General (1908–1912).
