Giuseppe Sarti
Giuseppe Sarti (also Sardi; baptised 1 December 1729 – 28 July 1802) was an Italian opera composer. Biography He was born at Faenza. His date of birth is not known, but he was baptised on 1 December 1729. Some earlier sources say he was born on 28 December, but his baptism certificate proves the later date impossible. Already organist at Faenza at age 13, he was invited to receive an education by Padre Martini in Bologna. Resigning his appointment in Faenza in 1750, Sarti devoted himself to the study of dramatic music, becoming director of the Faenza theatre in 1752. Opera In 1752 he produced his first documented opera, ''Il re pastore'' (because the date of ''Pompeo in Armenia'' is not certain). In 1753 Sarti went to Copenhagen with Pietro Mingotti and in 1755 King Frederick V of Denmark appointed him Hofkapellmeister and director of the opera. Here he produced his ''Ciro riconosciuto''. Giuliano Sarti (; 2 October 1933 – 5 June 2017) was an Italian professional football player, who played in the position of goalkeeper. Throughout his successful career, he played for several Italian clubs, although he is mostly remembered for his success with Fiorentina, and as the goalkeeper of the "Grande Inter" side of the 1960s that conquered both Italy and Europe. Club career Sarti is mostly remembered for his successful stints at Fiorentina and Internazionale, clubs with which he won several domestic and international trophies. Benito Sarti
Benito Sarti (; 23 July 1936 – 4 February 2020) was an Italian professional footballer who played as a defender or midfielder. Club career Sarti made his Serie A debut with Padova (1954–1957) at the age of 19, in a 4–1 away loss to Milan on 26 February 1956, during the 1955–56 Serie A season; he subsequently played for Sampdoria (1957–1959), making 63 appearances for the club. He played for Juventus between 1959 and 1968, obtaining 252 appearances, 206 of which came in Serie A, scoring one goal, which came from long-range in a 6–3 away victory over Atalanta during the 1962–63 Serie A season. Lucien Sarti
Lucien Sarti (October 8th, 1937 – April 28, 1972) was a French drug trafficker. Drug smuggling In 1948, Sarti founded the group Piedra Fuerte with fellow Corsicans Auguste Ricord and Francois Chiappe, which smuggled opium in the Golden Triangle. Chiappe was known to be part of the Organisation armée secrète, a French dissident paramilitary terrorist group that conducted targeted assassinations and bombings, including the attempted assassination of Charles de Gaulle in 1962. On April 19th, 1968, Sarti was arrested along with Ricord and Chiappe for questioning regarding the robbery of a branch of the Central Bank of Argentina. The three were released due to lack of evidence. In April 1972, Sarti was shot to death in Mexico City during a raid of a drug trafficking ring by the Mexican federal police. Adolfo Sarti (19 June 1928 – 2 March 1992) was an Italian Christian Democrat politician. He repeatedly served as Undersecretary and then as Minister in the Italian governments between the 1960s and 1980s. He was a Deputy in Legislature III (1958–1963), Legislature IV (1963–1968), Legislature V (1968–1972), Legislature IX (1983–1987) and Legislature X (1987–1992), while he was a Senator in Legislature VI (1972–1976), Legislature VII (1976–1979) and Legislature VIII (1979–1983).
