Sargent is a 1977 Pakistani Urdu action thriller film directed by Aslam Irani. The lead cast includes ''Asif Khan'', Najma, and Mustafa Qureshi. Plot The story of ''Sargent'' ( Sergeant in English) is about a brave and honest police officer ''Farid'', who puts his life on the line against criminals and smugglers. The other main character is a young man ''Dilawar'', who is misguided by society and turns into a criminal. Dilawar is oppressed, but when the oppression increases, he ends the oppressor. The third character is a woman ''Shabnam'' whose husband gets killed in an accident and people rob her of her dignity. Najma (actress)
Najma is a former Pakistani film actress. She appeared in more than 100 Urdu and Punjabi movies during the 1970s and 1980s. Her notable movies include '' Zeenat'' (1975), '' Toofan'' (1976), '' Sargent'' (1977), '' Shola'' (1978), ''Wehshi Gujjar'' (1979), and several others. She won the best actress Nigar Award in 1978. Career Najma started her career with a guest appearance in the Punjabi film "''Heera''" in 1972. But her first notable movie "''Khanzada''" came in 1975. Mustafa Qureshi
Mustafa Qureshi is a Pakistani film and television actor. He has acted in more than 600 movies, in Urdu, Punjabi and Sindhi languages. He is best remembered for playing the antagonist Noori Natt in ''Maula Jatt'' (1979). He was born into a Sindhi family, despite his later work mainly in Punjabi cinema. Qureshi won Nigar Award for Best Supporting Actor for his performance in ''Lal Aandhi'' (1979). He then won his first Nigar Award for Best Actor for 1981 film '' Sher Khan''. He won his third Nigar Award and second in best actor category for his role in Rustam Tey Khan. He was awarded Pride of Performance in 1988. Kamal Ahmed (20 April 1937 – 6 June 1993), was a Pakistani film music director. He has the second-highest number of film scores of more than 100 Urdu movies, after M. Ashraf who did more than 250 Urdu movies as a music director. Kamal won 6 Best Musician Nigar Awards during his long film career. Abdul Latif Baloch, better known by his screen name Saqi (2 April 1925 – 22 December 1986), was a Pakistani film and television actor. He is known for mostly playing supportive roles in Lollywood movies. He starred in more than 500 Urdu, Punjabi, Sindhi, and Pashto films.
