Sardinian Vendetta
''Sardinian Vendetta'' (Italian: ''Vendetta... sarda'') is a 1952 Italian comedy film directed by Mario Mattoli and starring Walter Chiari, Carlo Croccolo and Giovanna Pala. Apràp p.101 It as shot at the Icet Studios in Milan and the Ponti-De Laurentiis Studios in Rome. The film's sets were designed by the art director Alberto Boccianti. Synopsis A Sardinian working as a chef in Milan returns to the island believing that he has inherited money from his uncle. Once there he discovers that he has been killed by a rival family, and he quickly finds himself drawn into a local vendetta. Mario Mattoli (; 30 November 1898 – 26 February 1980) was an Italian film director and screenwriter. He directed 86 films between 1934 and 1966. Chef
A chef is a trained professional cook and tradesman who is proficient in all aspects of food preparation, often focusing on a particular cuisine. Mario Feliciani
Mario Feliciani (12 March 1918 – 11 August 2008) was an Italian actor and voice actor. Life and career Born in Milan, after completing his classical education Feliciani attended the Accademia dei filodrammatici obtaining the diploma. He made his stage debut in 1941, with the theatrical company "Palcoscenico". Later he was part of various companies, obtaining his first personal successes in 1946, with the drama ''La luna è tramontata''. From 1947 to 1952 he was a member of the Piccolo Teatro's stage company directed by Giorgio Strehler. He had also a very long and important collaboration on stage with Vittorio Gassman, also performing tours abroad with him. Ughetto Bertucci (18 October 1907 – 25 June 1966) was an Italian film and stage actor. He appeared in more than 40 films between 1945 and 1960. Life and career He was born and died in Rome, Italy. A fruit vendor in a Roman market square, he was noticed by the director Mario Mattoli who cast him as a fruit vendor in his comedy-drama ''Life Begins Anew''. Following the commercial success of the film, without abandoning his market stall, Bertucci started a prodigious career as a character actor, usually cast in humorous roles. Anna Maestri
Anna Maestri (7 January 1924 – 4 March 1988) was an Italian stage, film and television actress. Life and career Maestri was born in Mantua, the daughter of two stage actors. She formed at the Silvio d’Amico Academy of Dramatic Arts in Rome, and made her professional debut on stage in 1943 alongside Vittorio Gassman. After the war she worked several times with Luchino Visconti, Luigi Squarzina and with Giorgio Strehler at the Piccolo Teatro (Milan), Piccolo Teatro in Milan. She was also active in musical comedies and revues, notably starring in ''Il terrore corre sul filo'' alongside Nino Taranto. Franca Marzi (18 August 1926 – 6 March 1989) was an Italian film actress. She appeared in 80 films between 1943 and 1977. Life and career Born in Rome as Francesca Marsi, after working in the revue, Marzi made her film debut in her early twenties, in '' The Lovers'' (1946) by Giacomo Gentilomo. Carlo Campanini (5 October 1906 – 20 November 1984), was an Italian actor, singer and comedian. He appeared in more than 120 films between 1939 and 1969. Life and career Born in Turin, Campanini attended a technical school and a course of singing, then he started his career at nineteen entering the company of prose Casaleggio, with whom he toured six months in Argentina. In the following years Campanini was cast as singer-comedian and even as a tenor in a number of revue and operetta companies. Mario Riva (26 January 1913 – 1 September 1960) was an Italian television presenter and actor. He appeared in 51 films between 1941 and 1960. Life and career Born in Rome as Mariuccio Bonavolontà, the son of a composer, Giuseppe (Joseph) Bonavolonta (b.1885) and his wife Teresa Chinzari. A feud , referred to in more extreme cases as a blood feud, vendetta, faida, clan war, gang war, or private war, is a long-running argument or fight, often between social groups of people, especially families or clans.
