Sarawak FA State Football Team ( ms, Pasukan Bola Sepak Negeri Sarawak) was a defunct football team which represented the Malaysian region (formerly state) of Sarawak from 1974 to 2020 in the Malaysian football league. It was one of the 14 Malaysian state teams of the Malaysian football structure before the Malaysian football league demanded all teams competing in the country's top two leagues to be run as or changed to professional clubs by 2021. It is also important to note that Sarawak FA is a football team that is not run as a professional football club, but rather a team that was funded and run by a Malaysian state football association that relied mostly on state government grants. How the team was run was much like all the other Malaysian state football teams competing in the old Malaysian football system before the year 2021 too. Kashima Antlers
are a football club in Kashima, Ibaraki, currently playing in the J1 League, top tier of Japanese professional football leagues. Liga Perdana ( en, Premier League) was the top-tier football league in Malaysia that operated from 1994 to 1997. The league was formed and established in 1994 to succeed the Liga Semi-Pro and became the Malaysian fully professional football league. At this time the league was interchangeably referred as Malaysian League. As per league rules for the newly formed professional league, all teams were required to register 13 full professional, two semi-professional, and only three foreign players to play for their team in the competition. Alan Vest (born 5 September 1939) is an English-born New Zealand former football player and manager from Barnsley, England. He currently resides in Perth, Australia. Biography Vest had a notable playing career, scoring on his full international debut for the All Whites in a 4–1 win over New Caledonia on 17 September 1972 and ended his international playing career with 17 A-international caps and 6 goals to his credit, his final cap being in a 0–0 draw with Iran on 12 August 1973. Vest first coached Rugby Town in the 1960s and then Rochdale United.
