The Sarasaviya Best Actress Award is presented annually by the weekly Sarasaviya newspaper in collaboration with the Associated Newspapers of Ceylon Limited at the Sarasaviya Awards, Sarasaviya Awards Festival. Dilhani Ekanayake
Dilhani Ashokamala Ekanayake ( si, දිල්හානි ඒකනායක; born 4 March 1970) is an actress in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. One of the most popular film actresses in Sinhala cinema, Ekanayake has won several awards as the most popular actress in multiple times. Personal life Ekanayake studied at St Clare's girls school, in Colombo. She is married to singer and actor Priyankara Perera son of singer Milton Perera. She has a son, Dilmin Perera. In late 2020, her husband Priyankara was diagnosed with a kidney failure. He was hospitalized and need to undertake a kidney transplant with an A + or O + type kidney. Pawana Ralu Wiya
''Pawana'' (or: ''Awaité Pawana'') is a short story written in French by French Nobel laureate J. M. G. Le Clézio. Historical basis According to the author this is a true story about the whaler Charles Melville Scammon (1825–1911). In December 1857, Charles Scammon, in the brig ''Boston'', along with his schooner-tender ''Marin'', entered Laguna Ojo de Liebre (Jack-Rabbit Spring Lagoon), later known as Scammon's Lagoon, and found one of the Gray Whale's last refuges. The story resembles the tale of Captain Ahab in Herman Melville's Moby-Dick, who was also on the deck of a wooden ship searching for a white whale. Pawana is about the discovery of a lagoon in Mexico at the end of the 19th century where gray whales went to reproduce. ''Channa'' is a genus of predatory fish in the family Channidae, commonly known as snakeheads, native to freshwater habitats in Asia. This genus contains about 50 scientifically described species.
