Sarah Wilhite Parsons
Sarah Grace Wilhite Parsons (born July 30, 1995) is an American professional volleyball player who plays as an outside hitter for Japan professional club NEC Red Rockets and the United States women's national volleyball team. Personal life Wilhite Parsons is from Eden Prairie, Minnesota and attended Eden Prairie High School. She was the Minnesota Gatorade Player of the Year in 2011 and 2012 and was the number 14 nationally ranked recruit coming out of high school. She is married to Jameson Parsons. Career College Wilhite Parsons played college volleyball for Minnesota. In her sophomore season in 2014, she was 2nd on the team in kills with 309 kills. During her junior season in 2015, she trained with the US Collegiate National Team. During that year, she helped Minnesota to its first NCAA Final Four appearance since 2009 in 2015. Eden Prairie is a city southwest of downtown Minneapolis in Hennepin County and the 16th-largest city in the State of Minnesota, United States. As of the 2020 census, it has a population of 64,198. The DVV-Pokal für Frauen is the national cup competition of German women's volleyball . The organizer is the German Volleyball Association (DVV). The finals have been held in the SAP Arena in Mannheim since 2016. The current title holders in 2021 are the Schweriner SC. Competition history The DVV Cup has been held since 1973. Its East German counterpart was the FDGB Cup under the direction of the German Sports Association Volleyball of the GDR (DSVB), which was held between 1953 and 1991. German Women's Volleyball League
The German Women's volleyball League or in ( German : Volleyball-Bundesliga der Frauen ) is the highest division in German women's volleyball. The German champion has been determined in this competition since the 1976/77 season. Current mode The women's Bundesliga is made up of 11 teams in the 2018/19 season. The last placed teams after the main round descends into the second division . The teams in the first eight places are qualified for the playoffs. Except for the playoff final ( best-of-five mode ), all games were first played in best-of-three mode . In the season 2018/19 the first time the semi-finals in the best-of-five mode was held. FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League
The FIVB Volleyball Women's Nations League is an international volleyball competition contested by the senior women's national teams of the members of the ' (FIVB), the sport's global governing body. The first tournament took place between May and July 2018, with the final taking place in Nanjing, China. United States won the inaugural edition, defeating Turkey in the final. In July 2018, the FIVB announced that China would host the next three editions of the women's Volleyball Nations League Finals, from 2019–2021, but on March 13, 2020 the FIVB decided to postpone the Nations League until after the 2020 Summer Olympics due to the COVID-19 pandemic. Finally, the FIVB canceled the 2020 edition and confirmed Italy as the host of the final stage of the 2021 VNL.
