Sarah Mallais
Sarah Mallais (born January 11, 1989 as Sarah Berthelot) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. She currently plays third on Team Sylvie Quillian. Career In her junior years, Mallais represented New Brunswick at the 2007 Canada Games. The team narrowly missed the playoffs, finishing with a 3–2 record. She also represented NB at the 2006 Canadian Junior Curling Championships where the team went 5–6. Mallais lost the final of the 2009 provincial championship as second for Mary Jane McGuire. She played in the 2010 Sobeys Slam as lead for the Melissa Adams rink. They won no games and finished 0–3 in the triple knockout. Skipping her own team in 2016, she lost in the semifinal of the 2016 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts to former teammate Adams. 2017 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament Of Hearts
The 2017 New Brunswick Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's curling championship of New Brunswick was held January 25 to 29 at the Miramichi Curling Club in Miramichi, New Brunswick. The winning Melissa Adams team represented New Brunswick at the 2017 Scotties Tournament of Hearts in St. Catharines, Ontario. Melissa Adams of Fredericton would win her first ever provincial Scotties title. She had previously won the 1998 World Junior Curling Championships. Adams had scored four points in the sixth end to defeat Saint John, New Brunswick, Saint John's Sarah Mallais rink in the final by a score of 9-6. The Adams rink represented New Brunswick at the national Scotties, where they had to compete in a pre-qualifying tournament against the Yukon, Nunavut and Northwest Territories to enter the main event. Sandy Comeau
Sandy Comeau (born October 5, 1964) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. She is a three-time New Brunswick Scotties champion. Career Comeau made her first Scotties appearance in 1993 playing second for Nancy McConnery at the 1993 Scott Tournament of Hearts. The team included Leanne Perron and Denise Cormier as well. They finished with a 2–9 record, only beating Newfoundland and Labrador and Quebec. Comeau would not return to the national championship until 2005 where she skipped her own team. New Brunswick would qualify for the tiebreaker and would upset Team Canada's Colleen Jones before losing to Ontario's Jenn Hanna in the second round. Jeremy Mallais (born July 18, 1988) is a Canadian curler from Moncton, New Brunswick. He is currently the alternate on Team Scott Jones. Career Mallais finished second at the 2008 New Brunswick Tankard, losing the final to James Grattan 9–2. He also lost in the final in 2010 playing lead for Terry Odishaw and finished third in 2013 playing third for Jason Vaughan. World Curling Federation
The World Curling Federation (WCF) is the world governing body for curling accreditation, with offices in Perth, Scotland. It was formed out of the International Curling Federation (ICF), when the push for Olympic Winter Sport status was made. The name was changed in 1990. The ICF was initially formed in 1966 as a committee of the Royal Caledonian Curling Club in Perth after the success of the Scotch Cup series of world championships held between Canada and Scotland. Emily Dwyer (born c. 1993) is a Canadian curler from Lower Sackville, Nova Scotia. She currently skips a team on the World Curling Tour. Dwyer was born in Ottawa, Ontario. Among Dwyer's junior accolades including winning two Under-18 provincial titles (2010 and 2011), and representing Nova Scotia at the 2011 Canada Winter Games, finishing fourth on home ice at the Mayflower Curling Club.
