Sarah Adebisi Sosan
Sarah Adebisi Sosan (born 11 February 1956) is a Nigerian politician and former teacher, she served as Deputy Governor of Lagos State from 2007 to 2011. Early life and education Sarah Adebisi was born in Lagos 11 February 1956 to the aristocratic family of Chief and Princess Durosinmi of Irewe town in Ojo Local Government Area, Badagry division. Her mother hails from the Fafunwa Onikoyi Royal Family of Ita-Onikoyi in Idumota, Lagos Island, and her father was a member of the defunct Action Group (AG) and Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN), thus making him a long-time disciple of Obafemi Awolowo. Due to her maternal ancestry, the former Deputy Governor bears the Yoruba traditional title Omoba. Oba (ruler)
Oba means ″ruler″ in the Yoruba language, Yoruba and Bini languages of West Africa. Kings in Yorubaland, a region which is in the modern republics of Benin, Nigeria and Togo, make use of it as a pre-nominal honorific. Unity Party Of Nigeria
The Unity Party of Nigeria (UPN) was a Nigerian political party that was dominant in western Nigeria during the second republic (1978-1983). The party revolved around the political leadership of Obafemi Awolowo, a sometimes polemical politician but effective administrator. However, the party's main difference with its competitors was not the leader but the ideals of a social democracy it was founded on. The UPN inherited its ideology from the old Action Group and saw itself as a party for everyone. It was the only party to promote free education and called itself a welfarist party. Apapa is a Local Government Area in Lagos, located to the west of Lagos Island. Apapa contains a number of ports and terminals operated by the Nigerian Ports Authority (NPA), including the major port of Lagos State and Lagos Port Complex (LPC). In its legislation, the NPA itself does not refer to any port called "Port of Apapa", rather it refers to the "Port of Lagos", "Port of Port Harcourt" and "Port of Calabar".
