Sara Ortega Ruiz (born 20 February 2005) is a Spanish footballer who plays as a forward for Athletic Club. Club career Ortega started her career at Comillas' academy. Ortega made her senior debut in the Copa de la Reina against Racing in January 2022 at only 16 years old, scoring a goal after coming on as a substitute. She became the first woman to debut for Athletic Club at 16 years of age since Leyre Monente in 2016. In February, she then debuted in the Primera División against Eibar. International career In January 2020, Ortega received a call up to join the Spain under-16 team for training. Ortega made her debut for the Spain under-17 squad in September 2021 against Iceland. Logroño
Logroño () is the capital of the province of La Rioja, situated in northern Spain. Traversed in its northern part by the Ebro River, Logroño has historically been a place of passage, such as the Camino de Santiago. Leyre Monente Aicua (born 15 February 2000) is a Spanish footballer who plays for Alavés Gloriosas as a forward or attacking midfielder. She began her career with Athletic Club. Having made her Primera División debut for Athletic aged 16 in 2016, her early career was disrupted by serious injuries, including a torn anterior cruciate ligament plus other issues in 2017 which kept her out for more than a year, and a shoulder problem which required surgery in late 2019 but then recurred in 2021, just after she had re-established herself in the Athletic squad and been confirmed as having moved up from the B-team on a permanent basis.
