Santosh Yadav
Santosh Yadav (born 10 October 1967) is an Indian mountaineer. She is the first woman in the world to climb Mount Everest twice and the first woman to successfully climb Mount Everest from Kangshung Face. She climbed the peak first in May 1992 and then again in May 1993 with an Indo-Nepalese Team. During her Everest mission in 1992, she saved the life of a climber, Mohan Singh, by sharing oxygen with him. She also tried to help a mountaineer who lay dying at the South Col but was unsuccessful in saving him. Early life and education She was born in Joniyawas village in Rewari district of Haryana state, India as the sixth child in a family of five boys. She earlier attended a local village school and then moved to Delhi and got enrolled in a school there. She attended Maharani College in Jaipur, where she was able to see mountaineers climbing Aravalli Range from her room. Malavath Purna
Malavath Poorna (born 10 June 2000) is an Indian mountaineer. On 25 May 2014, Poorna climbed Mount Everest, aged 13 years and 11 months, the youngest Indian and the youngest female to have reached the summit. Purna climbed Mount Elbrus, the highest peak in Russia and Europe on 27 July 2017. After reaching the summit of Elbrus, Poorna unfurled a 50 ft long Indian Tricolor and sang the Indian National Anthem. She completed the Seven Summits on 5 June 2022 climbing Mount Denali, along with father-daughter duo Ajeet Bajaj and Deeya Bajaj. Dicky Dolma
Dicky Dolma (born 5 April 1974) is an Indian mountaineer, known for being the youngest woman to summit Mount Everest up to that time at the age of 19 on 10 May 1993. This occurred on the Indo-Nepal Everest Expedition. This Indo-Nepal Women's Everest Expedition was led by Bachendri Pal who was the first Indian woman to summit Mount Everest in 1984. Dicky was also a skier and attended numerous sporting competitions including the 1989 All-India Open Auli Ski Festival and the Asian Winter Games in 1999. She took ski training courses and basic mountaineering courses by the Manali Institute. In the same expedition as Dicky Dolma, Santosh Yadav summited Mount Everest for the second time, the first woman to summit twice. Nun Kun
Nun Kun is a mountain massif of the greater Himalayan range, located on the border of Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh in northern India.
