Santo "Sam" DiPietro (November 11, 1934 – October 9, 2016) was an American businessperson and politician from Maine. DiPietro, a Democrat, served on the South Portland City Council for nine years, two of which were as mayor (1986–1987). Portland High School is a public high school established in 1821 in Portland, Maine (Cumberland County), United States, which educates grades 9–12. The school is part of the Portland Public Schools district, and is one of three high schools in that district, along with Deering High School and Casco Bay High School. It is located at 284 Cumberland Avenue in downtown Portland. Along with its sister school, Deering High School, a family can choose which of the two to send their students to. The Maine House of Representatives is the lower house of the Maine Legislature. The House consists of 151 voting members and three nonvoting members. The voting members represent an equal number of districts across the state and are elected via plurality voting. The nonvoting members represent three of Maine's Native American tribes, though two tribes have declined to send representatives. Each voting member of the House represents around 9,000 citizens of the state. Because it is a part-time position, members of the Maine House of Representatives usually have outside employment as well.
