Akiko Santō
is a Japanese politician who served as the President of the House of Councillors of Japan from 2019 to 2022. A member of the Liberal Democratic Party, she previously served as the Vice President of the House of Councillors from 2007 to 2010. Background and career A native of Tokyo and graduate of Bunka Gakuin, Santo is the grand-niece of Kodama Ryōtarō (September 1872 – October 25, 1921), a member of the House of Representatives. Santo was elected to the House of Councillors for the first time in 1974 after working as an actress and reporter. Santo was Parliamentary Vice-Minister of Environment (Ohira Cabinet), and Minister of State and Director General of Science and Technology Agency (Kaifu Cabinet, 1990–91). She became Vice President of the House of Councillors in 2007, and chaired the Joint Plenary Meeting of Party Members of Both Houses of the Diet. Anthony Santo
Anthony Santo (born in Italy - date of death unknown) was an Italian- American man who confessed to murdering two of his cousins and another girl in the span of three months during "mad spells". He was eventually diagnosed as having hallucinations and sent to Taunton Lunatic Asylum, where he supposedly died. Biography Not much is known about Santo's life prior to his immigration to America, but it is known that he was born in Italy. Sometime prior to the murders, he had begun showing signs of mental illness. His parents claimed that he contracted scarlet fever when he was around six years old and that "his mind adbeen afflicted" since that time. Audrey Marie Santo (December 19, 1983 – April 14, 2007), often referred to as Little Audrey, was a young girl from Worcester, Massachusetts through whom miracles were purported to have happened after she suffered severe brain damage in a near-drowning accident. Accident Audrey Santo was the youngest of four children born to Linda and Steve Santo. On August 9, 1987, three-year-old Audrey was playing outside in the driveway with her four-year-old brother Stephen. When Stephen came inside alone, Linda and her twelve-year-old son, Matthew, went to look for Audrey and found her face down in the backyard swimming pool. Matthew dove in and pulled Audrey from the pool, and she was rushed to the hospital. Audrey remained in a coma for about three weeks, in intensive care.
