Sanremo Music Festival 2005
The Sanremo Music Festival 2005 ( it, Festival di Sanremo 2005), officially the 55th Italian Song Festival (), was the 55th annual Sanremo Music Festival, held at the Teatro Ariston in Sanremo, province of Imperia, between 1 and 5 March 2005 and broadcast by Rai 1. The show was presented by Paolo Bonolis, supported by Antonella Clerici and Federica Felini. The same Bonolis, together with Gianmarco Mazzi, served as the artistic director. According to the rules of this edition, the participants were divided into five categories (Men, Women, Groups, Classic and Newcomers), with only three entries for each category acceding to the finals and with the winners of each category eventually competing for the first place. The winner of the main competition was Francesco Renga with the song "Angelo". Nicola Arigliano won the critics prize with the song "Colpevole". Le Vibrazioni (English: ''The Vibrations'') is an Italian rock and pop band formed in Milan in 1999. They made their breakthrough in 2003 with their debut single ''Dedicato a te'' ("Dedicated to you"), which went platinum in Italy. All their albums have been released on BMG. Marina Rei (born 5 June 1969), is an Italian singer and songwriter. Biography Born in Rome as Marina Restuccia, daughter of Vincenzo "Enzo" Restuccia, drummer of the orchestra of Ennio Morricone and turnist, at 18 Rei started to dedicate herself to live music, performing in some of the best known Roman clubs. Antonella Ruggiero
Antonella Ruggiero (born 15 November 1952) is an Italian singer. Biography Antonella Ruggiero was born in Genoa, Liguria and made her first recording, ''Io Matia'' ("I Matia" in English), in 1974.
