''Sangya Balya'' (Kannada: ಸಂಗ್ಯಾ ಬಾಳ್ಯಾ) is a 1992 Indian Kannada film directed by Sundar Krishna Urs. The film's story is based on folktale of same name, written more than hundred years earlier. The music was scored by Vijaya Bhaskar. The film was shot in and around Turmari and Hunashikatti villages in Bailhongal Taluk, Belagavi District. Sundar Krishna Urs
Sundar Krishna Urs (1941–1993) was an Indian film producer and actor, in the Kannada film industry, as well as in many South Indian language films. He has also worked as a dubbing artist providing voices to many actors. Ramakrishna (Kannada Actor)
Ramakrishna (born c. 1951), also known as Neernalli Ramakrishna, is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Kannada cinema, and known for his portrayal of character roles as a lead actor. He was born into the Havyaka Brahmin community in Neernalli, near Sirsi, in the erstwhile North Canara (now Uttara Kannada) region of Karnataka State. In his career spanning over 30 years, he has appeared in over 200 films, mostly Kannada and a handful in Tamil and Telugu cinema; he appeared in a lead role in K. Balachander's '' Poikkal Kudhirai'' (1983). A protégé of the renowned filmmaker Puttanna Kanagal, he featured in some of the latter's best works such as ''Ranganayaki'' (1981), ''Maanasa Sarovara'' and ''Amrutha Ghalige'' (1984). Umashree (born 10 May 1957) is an Indian actress and politician. She is known for her portrayal of film roles spoken in the Kannada language (over 400), particularly comic roles. She received National Film Award for Best Actress for her role as Gulabi in the 2008 Kannada movie Gulabi Talkies. In 2013, Umashree became a Member of the Legislative Assembly in Karnataka in the government of Siddaramaiah where she was the minister for women and child development, empowerment of the differently abled and senior citizens, Kannada language and culture. Vijaya Bhaskar
Vijaya Bhaskar ( kan, ವಿಜಯಭಾಸ್ಕರ್; 1924–2002) was an Indian music director and composer who composed music for several mainstream and experimental feature films in the Kannada film industry. Scoring music for over 600 feature films, Bhaskar worked in Tamil, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Tulu and Konkani language films as well. He was a part of all of popular Kannada film director KSL Swamy's (Ravi) movies and was also known for his association with acclaimed directors Puttanna Kanagal and Adoor Gopalakrishnan. Kannada (; ಕನ್ನಡ, ), originally romanised Canarese, is a Dravidian language spoken predominantly by the people of Karnataka in southwestern India, with minorities in all neighbouring states.
