Sandyford () is a suburb of Dublin, located in Dún Laoghaire–Rathdown, Ireland. Sandyford Business District makes up much of the suburb and encompasses 4 business parks: Sandyford Business Park, Stillorgan Business Park, Central Park and South County Business Park. Some of the multinational companies based in the area include Google, Facebook, Microsoft and AIB. Location and access Sandyford is part of the Dáil Éireann constituency of Dublin-Rathdown. Sandyford village (sometimes referred to in Irish as ''Taobh na Coille'', meaning 'woodside', the townland in which it is situated) is 9 km south of Dublin city centre, just south of the M50 motorway, accessed from the R117 road or M50 junctions 13 and 14, while ''Sandyford Business District'' is just north of the motorway. Sandyford is an area of Glasgow, Scotland. It is north of the River Clyde and forms part of the western periphery of the city centre. Formerly the name of a ward under Glasgow Town Council in the first part of the 20th century, it is within a continuous area of fairly dense urban development bordering several other neighbourhoods whose mutual boundaries have blurred over time, and is possibly less well known than all of the places which adjoin it, particularly Anderston and Finnieston. Sandyford is a small district in central Newcastle upon Tyne. It represents the north-eastern border of central Newcastle, with the suburbs of Jesmond to the north and Heaton to the east. Population Similarly to neighbouring Jesmond, Sandyford is home to a large number of students because of its close proximity to Newcastle University and Northumbria University. Architecture Sandyford's housing stock is mostly red brick Victorian terraced housing, and many of these are Tyneside flats. Towards the south-east, the residential streets run steeply downwards to Jesmond Dene. Sandefjord () is a city and the most populous municipality in Vestfold og Telemark county, Norway. The municipality of Sandefjord was established on 1 January 1838. The municipality of Sandar was merged into Sandefjord on 1 January 1969. On 1 January 2017, rural municipalities of Andebu and Stokke were merged into Sandefjord as part of a nationwide municipal reform. This merger was the first one to take place during the reform.
