Sandrine Claire Holt (born Sandrine Vanessa Ho; 19 November 1972) is a British-born Canadian model and actress. Early life Holt was born Sandrine Vanessa Ho in Croydon. Her middle name was later changed to Claire. Her father, Man Shun ("Horace") Ho, is Chinese. Ho was educated at the University of London, receiving a (B.Sc Physics and Applied Mathematics; M.Sc Computer Science). Her mother, Christiane (née Nicolette), is French. Sandrine Veysset (born 29 March 1967) is a French film director and screenwriter. Life and career Veysset was born in Avignon. She studied French literature until she dropped out of school to pursue filmmaking. A friend introduced her to Léos Carax and she was hired as his driver while he was shooting ''Les Amants du Pont-Neuf'' (''The Lovers on the Bridge'') (1991) in 1989. Her first real contact with cinema happened when she became an assistant to the art director of that film. The experience encouraged her to begin writing her first screenplay in 1991. Sandrine Testud (born 3 April 1972) is a former professional tennis player from France. Career Testud broke into top 20 singles rankings in July 1997. On February 7, 2000, she became the sixth Frenchwoman after Françoise Dürr, Mary Pierce, Nathalie Tauziat, Amélie Mauresmo and Julie Halard to break into the top 10 in the singles rankings.
