Sandip Nandy
Sandip Nandy (born 15 January 1975) is a former indian professional footballer who played as a goalkeeper. He is currently the goalkeeping coach of I-League club Mohammedan. Nandy also appeared with West Bengal team in the 46th edition ( 2009–10 season) of Santosh Trophy. The India national football team represents India in international football and is governed by the All India Football Federation (AIFF). The team is affiliated to FIFA and Asian Football Confederation (AFC). Indian team, which was once considered one of the best teams in Asia, had its golden era during the 1950s and early 1960s. 2003 ASEAN Club Championship
The 2003 ASEAN Club Championship or the 2003 ACC was the first edition of the ASEAN Club Championship, an international association football competition between domestic champion clubs sides affiliated with the member associations of the ASEAN Football Federation. The ASEAN Club Championship or ACC is an international club football competition organised by the ASEAN Football Federation between domestic champion clubs. The competition is backed by AFC and FIFA. The first edition was sponsored by LG Electronics, which was also known as LG Cup Asean Club Football Championship. Qualification to the competition was for champions clubs from AFF-affiliated countries only, plus the champions from India in 2003. History The ASEAN Club Championship was first held as biannual tournament in 2003 and 2005, but failed to gain traction due to lack of sponsors and conflict with the main calendar of the Asian Football Confederation. The 2013 South Asian Football Federation Championship, commonly referred to as 2013 SAFF Championship, was the 10th SAFF Championship for men's national football teams organized by the South Asian Football Federation (SAFF). The tournament took place from 31 August to 11 September 2013, and was hosted by Nepal for the second time, with the previous being in 1997. 2005 South Asian Football Federation Gold Cup
The 2005 South Asian Football Federation Cup was the sixth edition of South Asian Football Federation Cup. It was the second time the competition was held in Pakistan. The tournament was played in two cities, Islamabad and Karachi with People's Football Stadium in Karachi hosting group-stages and Jinnah Sports Stadium in Islamabad hosting knock-out rounds and the finals. The tournament started on 7 December and ended on 17 December. India won their fourth title after defeating Bangladesh 2–0 in the finals. Both sides contested the finals in the 1999 edition with India coming out victorious with the same result and Bhaichung Bhutia scored in that finals as well. The Vivekananda Yuba Bharati Krirangan (VYBK; ), commonly known as the Salt Lake Stadium, is an all-seater multi-purpose stadium located in Bidhannagar, with current capacity of 85,000 spectators. Named after Swami Vivekananda, the stadium forms the home ground for multiple football clubs, most notably ATK Mohun Bagan, East Bengal and Mohammedan. The Santosh Trophy, officially known as Hero Senior Men's National Football Championship due to sponsorship ties with Hero MotoCorp, is a state-level football competition contested by the state associations and government institutions under the All India Football Federation (AIFF), the sport's governing body in India.
