Sancho I López or Lupus Sancho (also Lupo; eu, Antso Otsoa, French: ''Sanche Loup'', Gascony: ''Sans Lop'') was a Duke of Gascony between the years 801 and 812. His parentage is unknown, but onomastics and chronology indicate that he may have been a son of Lupus II. This is especially likely if the early dukes of Gascony are to be regarded as related. Sancho first appears (as Lupus Sancho) in the historical record as ''dux'' "of the Vascones." This means that he was almost certainly a Basque. He was a leader of the army of Louis the Pious which besieged and took Barcelona in 801. He was probably the leader of the Gascon contingent. Ermoldus Niger celebrates him in a poem as a ''nutritus'' of Charlemagne, perhaps indicating that he was raised at the Frankish king's court. Sancho Garcés I (Basque: ''Antso Ia. Gartzez''; c. 860 – 10 December 925), also known as Sancho I, was king of Pamplona from 905 until 925. He was the son of García Jiménez and was the first king of Pamplona of the Jiménez dynasty. Sancho I was the feudal ruler of the Onsella valley, and expanded his power to all the neighboring territories. He was chosen to replace Fortún Garcés by the Pamplonese nobility in 905. Sancho I Of León
Sancho I of León, nicknamed Sancho the Fat (c. 932 – 19 December 966) was a king of León twice. He was succeeded in 958 by Ordoño IV and, on his death, by his son Ramiro. Reign He was the son of Ramiro II of León and his second wife queen Urraca Sánchez of Pamplona. He was a grandson of Sancho I of Pamplona and Toda Aznárez. Sancho I Of Astarac
Sancho I ( flourished 1050–1096/1119) was the count of Astarac from around 1060. He was the only son of William I and inherited the entire county of Astarac, which had been reduced in area by partitioning among heirs in earlier generations. Sancho had at least three sons. His eldest, William, is mentioned in a document of about 1075, but died before his father. His second son, Bernard, then became his sole heir, since the youngest son, Odo (fl. 1090–1125), became a monk at Simorre. The only information provided on Sancho by the ''Genealogia comitum Guasconiae'' (Genealogy of the Counts of Gascony) in the archives of the cathedral of Sainte-Marie d'Auch is that "William begat Sancho ndSancho begat Bernard."
