Sanan Suleymanov is an Azerbaijani Greco-Roman wrestler. He won the silver medal in the 77 kg event at the 2021 World Wrestling Championships held in Oslo, Norway. In 2020, he won the gold medal in the 77 kg event at the European Wrestling Championships held in Rome, Italy. Career Suleymanov competed in the 66kg event at the 2017 European Wrestling Championships held in Novi Sad, Serbia without winning a medal. He won his first match against Parviz Nasibov of Ukraine but he was eliminated from the competition by Atakan Yüksel of Turkey. In 2019, Suleymanov competed in the 72kg event at the World Wrestling Championships held in Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan without winning a medal. At the 2019 World U23 Wrestling Championship held in Budapest, Hungary, he won the silver medal in the 72kg event. In the final, he lost against Mohammad Reza Geraei of Iran. Amateur wrestling is a variant of wrestling practiced in collegiate, school, or other amateur level competitions. 2020 Summer Olympics
The , officially the and also known as , was an international multi-sport event held from 23 July to 8 August 2021 in Tokyo, Japan, with some preliminary events that began on 21 July. Tokyo was selected as the host city during the 125th IOC Session in Buenos Aires, Argentina, on 7 September 2013. 2021 European Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament
The 2021 European Wrestling Olympic Qualification Tournament is the second regional qualifying tournament for the 2020 Summer Olympics. The event was held from 18 to 21 March 2021, in BOK Sports Hall, Budapest, Hungary. Qualification summary A total of 36 athletes secured a spot in the 2020 Summer Olympics, in Tokyo, Japan. Two spots were given to each of the weight classes in every event. This allows a total of 12 available spots for each event. Every winner and runner-up per class were awarded their place for wrestling, at the 2020 Summer Olympics. 2020 Individual Wrestling World Cup
The inaugural 2020 Individual World Wrestling Cup was held in Belgrade, Serbia from 12–18 December 2020. It was a replacement event for the 2020 World Championships, which should have taken place in the same location, but since some criteria were not fulfilled, such as not less than 8 top nations from the previous championships to participate, the event is not counted as world championships. The Cup took place amidst the COVID-19 pandemic, which caused this and other problems. The United States for instance chose not to participate. Mohammad Reza Geraei ( fa, محمدرضا گرایی, born 25 July 1996), is an Iranian Greco-Roman wrestling, Greco-Roman wrestler. At the 2020 Summer Olympics held in Tokyo, Japan, he won the gold medal in the Wrestling at the 2020 Summer Olympics – Men's Greco-Roman 67 kg, men's 67 kg event.
