San Ysidro High School is a co-educational public four-year (grade levels 9–12) high school located in San Diego, California. It was founded and established in 2002, and is part of the Sweetwater Union High School District. SYHS predominantly serves San Ysidro and other parts of San Diego with a student enrollment of 2,408. History San Ysidro High School was established in the summer of 2002, and was named after the community in which the institution predominantly serves, "San Ysidro, California." Prior to its establishment, the community did not have a high school in which the nearby K-8 educational district, the San Ysidro Elementary School District, could feed students into. This resulted in many middle school students transferring to different schools within the Sweetwater Union High School District, such as Southwest Senior High School. Mikey Williams (basketball, Born 2004)
Michael Anthony Williams (born June 26, 2004) is an American basketball player for the UCF Knights of the Big 12 Conference. He previously played for Vertical Academy, Lake Norman Christian High School, in North Carolina and San Ysidro High School. He had committed to play for the Memphis Tigers although he never played, he will make his debut after his court case. Early life Williams first held a basketball when he was 11 months old and grew up playing under the guidance of his father and mother. In his childhood, he mainly played on an outdoor court in his apartment complex. In elementary school, Williams was often involved in fights with bullies. He worked as a ball boy for San Ysidro High School head coach Terry Tucker, who said that "he couldn't keep (Williams) out of the gym." Club Deportivo Guadalajara (); often simply known as Guadalajara () and their nickname ''Chivas'' (), is a Mexican professional football club based in Zapopan, Jalisco. Miguel Ángel Ponce Briseño (born 12 April 1989), also known as Pocho, is a professional footballer who plays as a left-back. Born in the United States, he represented the Mexico national team. He is an Olympic gold medalist. Early life Ponce moved with his family from Sacramento to Guadalajara before he was 1, then to Tijuana when he was 10 to enable visits from his father, who worked building bridges in California. Southwest Senior High School
Southwest Senior High (SOH), in San Diego, California, United States, is a high school established in 1975. It was built on the site of a small railroad yard owned by the Southern Pacific Railroad along the original San Diego-Tijuana line. It existed until the mid-1930s when the tracks were moved east to the present-day Trolley tracks. Part of the Sweetwater Union High School District, it serves all socioeconomic communities of San Diego (specifically the Nestor community), as well as some students living in Chula Vista, Imperial Beach and San Ysidro.
