San Mateo (pronounced locally as /sænˈmäCHō/ not /sæn mə-tay-oh/ , Spanish for St. Matthew), officially the Municipality of San Mateo ( ilo, Ili ti San Mateo; tl, Bayan ng San Mateo), is a 1st class municipality in the province of Isabela, Philippines. According to the 2020 census, it has a population of 66,663 people. San Mateo is one of the cleanest town in the region. Sergio Osmeña Sr. (, ; 9 September 1878 – 19 October 1961) was a Filipino lawyer and politician who served as the fourth president of the Philippines from 1944 to 1946. He was vice president under Manuel L. Quezon. The Internal Revenue Allotment (IRA) is a local government unit’s (LGU) share of revenues from the Philippine national government.
