Rancho Cordova, California
Rancho Cordova is a city in Sacramento County, California, United States which was incorporated in 2003. It is part of the Sacramento Metropolitan Area. The population was 64,776 at the 2010 census. In 2010 and 2019, Rancho Cordova was named as a winner of the All-America City Award. History Originally called Mayhew's Crossing and Hangtown Crossing (c. 1855) during the Gold Rush era, the area was renamed Mayhew Station and Mills Station (c. 1900), respectively. Rio Americano High School
Rio Americano High School, colloquially known as Rio, is a public high school in Arden-Arcade, California, just outside Sacramento, serving students in grades 9 through 12 as part of the San Juan Unified School District. Rio Americano students come from the surrounding areas of Arden Park, Arden Oaks, Sierra Oaks, Fair Oaks, Carmichael, Gold River, and to a much lesser extent, the La Sierra community. Mira Loma High School
Mira Loma High School is a public high school located in Arden-Arcade, California, United States. It is located south of Interstate 80, and east of Watt Avenue. It is a part of the San Juan Unified School District with a student body of approximately 1700 students from northeast Arden-Arcade and western Carmichael. Mira Loma High School has been an IB World School since 1989, and is the largest International Baccalaureate program in Northern California. Mira Loma also achieves consistently high pass rates for IB exams, taken in May. Mesa Verde High School is a public high school in Citrus Heights, California in the San Juan Unified School District. Background information Mesa Verde High School opened in March 1975 as a year-around school on a 4-quarter block. Each block was 10-weeks in length, with a 3-week intersession between. In addition to standard academic and elective classes, classes in the construction trades - carpentry; welding; design - and small business entrepreneurship, were offered. Intersession class offered classes for making up credits due to classes that were failed, and supplemental activity classes focusing on outdoor activities. Encina Preparatory High School
Encina High School is an American 6-12 public school located in Arden-Arcade, California. It is a member of the San Juan Unified School District located on the western end of the SJUSD. While the school thrived during its early years of existence and into the 1980s, it has since suffered from low enrollment and been suggested for closure several times in its recent history. It includes the Advanced Path Program students. Richard Judge is the current high school principal; Heidi Garner and Michelle Speed act as vice principals.
