San Francisco Municipality, Zulia
San Francisco is a municipality in the metropolitan area of Maracaibo, Venezuela's second largest city. San Francisco covers an area of and recorded a population of 446,757 in the 2011 Venezuelan census. Geography San Francisco is situated on the Maracaibo Plain on the west shore of Tablazo Strait, which connects Lake Maracaibo with the Caribbean Sea. It borders the municipalities of Maracaibo to the north, Jesús Enrique Lossada to the west, and La Cañada de Urdaneta to the south. San Francisco has a semi-arid climate, with an average annual temperature of 27.8 °C and annual rainfall of 700 mm. Zulia Metropolitan Zoo
The Zulia Metropolitan Zoo ( es, Parque zoológico metropolitano del Zulia; also called the Zoological Park of Zulia or ''Parque del Sur'') is a zoo established in 1973. It spans about 40 hectares and is located at kilometer 10 of the La Cañada highway in the municipality of San Francisco south of Maracaibo, the capital of Zulia in Venezuela. Its administration and management since 2008 is the responsibility of the Zulia state government. The zoo faces constant problems such as drought and lack of resources in the area, which may effect species such as felines (leopards, lions, jaguars), rhinos, orangutans, among others. Between 1973 and 1993 was controlled by the governorship of Zulia, a situation that was interrupted between that last year and 2008 when it was finally returned to its original administrators. Táchira State ( es, Estado Táchira, ) is one of the 24 states of Venezuela. The state capital is San Cristóbal. Táchira State covers a total surface area of and as of the 2011 census, had a population of 1,168,908. At the end of the 19th century, Táchira State was where oil was discovered in Venezuela. Currently, its main economic revenues come from the production of coffee and pineapple. The cattle and agricultural activities play an important role in Táchira's economy. Morón is a Venezuelan town located on the coast of Carabobo State. It is the capital of the Juan José Mora Municipality. Coro, Venezuela
Coro, historically known as Neu-Augsburg, is the capital of Falcón State and the second oldest city of Venezuela (after Cumaná). It was founded on July 26, 1527, by Juan de AmpÃes as Santa Ana de Coro. It is established at the south of the Paraguaná Peninsula in a coastal plain, flanked by the Médanos de Coro National Park to the north and the Sierra de Coro to the south, at a few kilometers from its port (La Vela de Coro) in the Caribbean Sea at a point equidistant between the Ensenada de La Vela and Golfete de Coro.
