San Diego WFC SeaLions was an American women's soccer team, founded in 1988. The team was a member of the Women's Premier Soccer League, the second tier of women's soccer in the United States and Canada. The team folded after the 2019 season. The team played its home games at Manchester Stadium on the campus of Cathedral Catholic High School in San Diego, California. The club's colors were sky blue, royal blue and white. Sean Bowers
Sean Patrick Bowers (born August 12, 1968) is a retired U.S. soccer defender. He spent most of his career playing indoor soccer, earning the 1992 NPSL Rookie of the Year, four-time Defender of the Year and a six-time first team All Star in four different indoor leagues. He also played four seasons with the Kansas City Wizards in Major League Soccer. He currently is the General Manager for the San Diego Sockers of the Professional Arena Soccer League. High school and college Bowers grew up in San Diego, California where he played his youth soccer with the San Diego Nomads. He also played goalkeeper at Mira Mesa High School where he was two-time All City. Paul Dougherty
Paul Dougherty (born 12 May 1966) is an English former professional soccer player and soccer coach who began his career with Wolverhampton Wanderers in England. He then moved to the United States where he became a journeyman player, bouncing through sixteen teams in multiple indoor and outdoor leagues. He is currently the head coach of the San Diego WFC SeaLions, who play in the Women's Premier Soccer League. Jennifer Ann Nielsen (; born September 5, 1974) is an American retired soccer midfielder and former member of the United States women's national soccer team. In 2012, she was nominated for entry into the National Soccer Hall of Fame. The United States Adult Soccer Association (USASA) is a national organization for amateur soccer in the United States. It consists of 55 state organizations as well as national, regional and state leagues.
