San Diego 1904 FC was an American professional soccer team based in San Diego, California, United States. In December 2021, the team was absorbed by Albion San Diego, which effectively took over 1904's membership in the National Independent Soccer Association (NISA). History The name 1904 was suggested by a fan, and refers to S and D, the nineteenth and fourth letters of the alphabet (also, the letters S and D resemble the numbers 9 and 0 in the club logo). Commenters on social media pointed out that the number could also be seen as a reference to a joke in the film '' Anchorman: The Legend of Ron Burgundy'' (in which Burgundy falsely asserts that San Diego was "discovered by the Germans in 1904"), leading journalists to suggest that reference may have been intentional. Scott Alexander Morrison (born 23 May 1984) is a Scottish former professional footballer, who played for Aberdeen, Dunfermline Athletic, Ross County, Phoenix FC and Arizona United. 2020–21 National Independent Soccer Association Season
The 2020–21 NISA season was the second season of the National Independent Soccer Association's third-division soccer competition. The regular season was split into two halves, Fall and Spring, with playoffs at the end of each, and a Championship Match that had the Fall champion host the Spring champion. This season also saw the introduction of a new cup competition, the NISA Independent Cup, that features independent clubs from various professional and semi-professional leagues across the United States. Teams The eight teams that participated in the inaugural 2019-20 NISA season were joined by three expansion teams: New York Cosmos and New Amsterdam FC for the full season. Ozzie Ramos (born September 11, 1996) is an American soccer player who currently plays as a midfielder for USL League One club Central Valley Fuego.
