San Antonio Iguanas
The San Antonio Iguanas were a minor league professional ice hockey team based in San Antonio, Texas. The first expansion team in the Central Hockey League, they were active for seven seasons from 1994–1997 and 1998–2002. Their home arena was the Freeman Coliseum. Bill Goldsworthy initially coached the team but stepped down for health reasons after only ten games. John Torchetti took over coaching duties, leading the Iguanas to the CHL finals in both of their first two years. Ric Seiling
Richard James Seiling (born December 15, 1957) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey player. He spent the majority of his 738-game National Hockey League (NHL) career with the Buffalo Sabres, but also played one season for the Detroit Red Wings. After his retirement he became a successful harness racer, coach and broadcaster. Junior career Seiling, at 16, joined the Hamilton Fincups of the Ontario Major Junior Hockey League at the start of the 1974–75 season. He spent three seasons with the franchise, which moved to St. Catharines in 1976, amassing 117 goals and 142 assists in 189 regular season games. The Fincups played in the 1976 Memorial Cup, where Seiling posted three goals and nine points in three appearances, leading all players in scoring and earning a berth on the Memorial Cup all-star team. Chris Stewart (ice Hockey, Born 1961)
Chris Stewart (born April 7, 1961) is a Canadian ice hockey coach and manager. He was most notable as the head coach and general manager of the Colorado Eagles while they were in the Central Hockey League and the ECHL. Career As a head coach, Stewart has won three Ray Miron President's Cups. He won his first Central Hockey League championship with the 1998–99 Huntsville Channel Cats, and won two more with the Colorado Eagles (then of the CHL) in the 2004–05 and 2006–07 seasons. He initially retired as head coach of the Eagles in 2008 before returning to the position in 2010. He retired for a second time in 2016 but remained with the Eagles as general manager. The Eagles won back-to-back Kelly Cups in his last two seasons as general manager before the organization joined the American Hockey League in 2018.
