Samuel Pagdilao, Jr.
Samuel Duldulao Pagdilao, Jr. (born February 13, 1957), is a retired Filipino police officer and politician who served in the House of Representatives from 2013 to 2016. Pagdilao used to work as director general of the Philippine National Police (PNP), holding multiple positions and receiving a number of distinctions and recognition in his 34-year stint as a police officer. On October 13, 2015, Pagdilao announced his senatorial bid and filed his certificate of candidacy with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC). He placed 31st overall in the official count of the COMELEC's National Board of Canvassers. Early life Pagdilao was born on February 13, 1957, to Colonel Samuel Salviejo Pagdilao, Sr., and Anunciacion Duldulao-Pagdilao in Cotabato City. Philippine National Police
The Philippine National Police ( fil, Pambansang Pulisya ng Pilipinas, acronymed as PNP) is the armed national police force in the Philippines. Its national headquarters is located at Camp Crame in Bagong Lipunan ng Crame, Quezon City. Currently, it has approximately 220,000 personnel to police a population in excess of 100 million. The agency is administered and controlled by the National Police Commission and is part of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG). Local police officers are operationally controlled by municipal mayors. DILG, on the other hand, organizes, trains and equips the PNP for the performance of police functions as a police force that is national in scope and civilian in character. Intramuros (Latin for "inside the walls") is the historic walled area within the city of Manila, the capital of the Philippines. Elections were held for seats reserved for the party-list representation in the House of Representatives of the Philippines on May 13, 2013. At most 10% of the seats in the House of Representatives of the Philippines are reserved for party-list representatives. Tampa Bay
Tampa Bay is a large natural harbor and shallow estuary connected to the Gulf of Mexico on the west-central coast of Florida, comprising Hillsborough Bay, McKay Bay, Old Tampa Bay, Middle Tampa Bay, and Lower Tampa Bay. The largest freshwater inflow into the bay is the Hillsborough River, which flows into Hillsborough Bay in downtown Tampa. The Special Action Force (SAF) is the elite unit of the Philippine National Police founded by Fidel V. Ramos, later the twelfth president of the Philippines. History Formed on May 12, 1983, by the now-defunct Philippine Constabulary (PC) as the Philippine Constabulary Special Action Force (PCSAF) as per PC General Orders 323. The creation of the SAF was inspired by and "formed along the lines of" the British Army's Special Air Service (SAS). Fidel Ramos and Renato de Villa were the founders of the unit.
