Sam Johnston (Yukon Politician)
Samuel Timothy Johnston (born November 20, 1935) is a Canadians, Canadian former politician in the territory of Yukon, Canada. He served as chief of the Teslin Tlingit Council from 1970 to 1984, and represented Campbell (electoral district), Campbell in the Yukon Legislative Assembly from 1985 to 1992 as a Yukon New Democratic Party, NDP member. He was born in Teslin, Yukon, the son of David Peter Johnston and Rose Morris, and was educated in Carcross, Yukon, Carcross. In 1983, he married Kelly Ruth Hyatt. Johnston served as List of Speakers of the Yukon Legislative Assembly, Speaker for the assembly from 1985 to 1992. He was the first native Canadian to serve as a legislative speaker in Canada. In the 1992 Yukon general election, 1992 election, Johnston was defeated by independent Willard Phelps in the redistributed riding of Ross River-Southern Lakes. Samuel Alton Johnston (born September 1, 1987) is an American professional wrestler and promoter, better known by the ring name Sami Callihan, currently signed with Impact Wrestling and is a former Impact World Champion. He also wrestled for Lucha Underground under the ring names Jeremiah Crane, and later, Jeremiah Snake, and on the independent circuit. He has worked for several independent promotions throughout the United States. He found the most success in Combat Zone Wrestling (CZW) and Major League Wrestling (MLW), but has also wrestled for Dragon Gate USA, Evolve, Ring of Honor, Pro Wrestling Guerrilla, Full Impact Pro, and All American Wrestling. Samuel Johnston (born 13 April 1967) is a Scottish former footballer who played as a midfielder for clubs including St Johnstone, Partick Thistle and Glenavon.
