Sampson Collins
Sampson William Francis Collins (born 21 September 1982 in London) is an English film-maker, journalist and author. He is best known as the director of the Grierson-nominated Documentary series '' Gazza'' on the treatment of the footballer Paul Gascoigne by the tabloid press, and the producer, co-director and co-writer of the award-winning documentary ''Death of a Gentleman'', about corruption in the administration of cricket. ''Death of a Gentleman'' was awarded Best Documentary at the prestigious Sports Journalism Awards in February 2016, beating off a strong shortlist including the highly commended ''Catch Me If You Can'' (a BBC Panorama investigation into allegations of doping in athletics), and ''One Day in May'' (BT Sport's story of the Bradford City fire). ''Gazza'' is a two-part British television documentary about the English footballer Paul Gascoigne. Paul Gascoigne
Paul John Gascoigne (, born 27 May 1967), nicknamed Gazza, is an English former professional footballer who played as an attacking midfielder. He is described by the National Football Museum as "widely recognised as the most naturally talented English footballer of his generation". Born and raised in Gateshead, Gascoigne signed schoolboy terms with Newcastle United, before turning professional with the club in 1984. Three years later, he was sold to Tottenham Hotspur for £2.2 million. He won the FA Cup with Spurs in 1991, before being sold to Italian club Lazio for £5.5 million. In 1995, he was transferred to Rangers for £4.3 million and helped the club to two league titles, a Scottish Cup and a Scottish League Cup. Cricket
Cricket is a bat-and-ball game played between two teams of eleven players on a field at the centre of which is a pitch with a wicket at each end, each comprising two bails balanced on three stumps. The batting side scores runs by striking the ball bowled at one of the wickets with the bat and then running between the wickets, while the bowling and fielding side tries to prevent this (by preventing the ball from leaving the field, and getting the ball to either wicket) and dismiss each batter (so they are "out").
