Sample In A Jar
"Sample in a Jar" is a song by the American band Phish. On the surface, the lyrics seem to deal with a relationship argument while intoxicated. In The Phish Book, Trey mentioned that the song is “basically about sitting in a car with the seatbelt on, drunk.” The song is covered by the band Little Feat on the album ''Chinese Work Songs''. Songs Written By Trey Anastasio
A song is a musical composition intended to be performed by the human voice. This is often done at distinct and fixed pitches (melodies) using patterns of sound and silence. Songs contain various forms, such as those including the repetition and variation of sections. Written words created specifically for music, or for which music is specifically created, are called lyrics. If a pre-existing poem is set to composed music in classical music it is an art song. Songs that are sung on repeated pitches without distinct contours and patterns that rise and fall are called chants. Songs composed in a simple style that are learned informally "by ear" are often referred to as folk songs. Songs that are composed for professional singers who sell their recordings or live shows to the mass market are called popular songs. These songs, which have broad appeal, are often composed by professional songwriters, composers, and lyricists. Art songs are composed by trained classical composers fo ...

Star Lake 98
A star is an astronomical object comprising a luminous spheroid of plasma held together by its gravity. The nearest star to Earth is the Sun. Many other stars are visible to the naked eye at night, but their immense distances from Earth make them appear as fixed points of light. The most prominent stars have been categorised into constellations and asterisms, and many of the brightest stars have proper names. Astronomers have assembled star catalogues that identify the known stars and provide standardized stellar designations. The observable universe contains an estimated to stars. Only about 4,000 of these stars are visible to the naked eye, all within the Milky Way galaxy. A star's life begins with the gravitational collapse of a gaseous nebula of material composed primarily of hydrogen, along with helium and trace amounts of heavier elements. Its total mass is the main factor determining its evolution and eventual fate. A star shines for most of its active life due to ...

Chicago '94
''Chicago '94'' is a live album by the rock band Phish. It contains two complete concerts on six CDs, and was recorded at the UIC Pavilion in Chicago, Illinois on June 18 and November 25, 1994. It was released by JEMP Records on July 31, 2012. Critical reception On Allmusic, Fred Thomas wrote, "These two-track soundboard recordings (remastered for this release) find Phish in one of their more playful and energetic times, rising to the height of their popularity and playing together with almost telepathic synchronicity. They were also at some of their most athletic levels of playing, with set lists full of their most frenetic tunes and most epic jams.... These shows are absolutely on fire, and a clear choice for the kind of expansive retroactive issue that warrants a six-disc box set.... e level of energy put forth over the course of ''Chicago '94'' is undeniable, and the high points are some of the most brilliant in the band's catalog." On All About Jazz, Doug Collette said, ...

Live Phish Volume 18
''Live Phish Vol. 18'' is an album by Phish. It was recorded live at the Bomb Factory in Dallas, Texas on May 7, 1994. The show is sometimes referred to as "Tweezerfest" because of a seamless second set that features elements of the song "Tweezer" in almost every song. Throughout the hour-long "Tweezer" experience, the band moves in and out of improvisational jams and riffs from random cover songs like Aerosmith's "Sweet Emotion" to The Breeders's "Cannonball". One of the show's jams occurs after Jon Fishman croons Prince's " Purple Rain". Bonus tracks include a segment from a concert at University of Missouri on November 22, 1994. Live Phish Volume 10
''Live Phish Vol. 10'' was recorded live at the Veterans Memorial Auditorium in Columbus, Ohio on June 22, 1994. Some Phish hobbyists advance that the concert ranks among the five best the band has ever played, although the weight of reliable authority holds otherwise. It features the band on their 1994 summer tour. The group plays an experimental version of "Mike's Song," interpolating an early version of the Mike Gordon staple "Simple" and a jam based on the bass line and melody of The Allman Brothers Band's "Midnight Rider," as well as a version of the rarely-played "Icculus." Bonus tracks include two songs from the Murat Theater in Indianapolis, Indiana on June 24, 1994. Before the second set begins with " 2001", Trey Anastasio informs the audience of the current score of Game 7 of the 1994 NBA Finals ("First quarter, Houston by 5"). The game is also mentioned during the Icculus narration ("Even if you're playing in the NBA finals, and you're winning by 5 points, ..you'd ...
