Vikram Sampath
Vikram Sampath is an Indian popular historian, noted for authoring biographies of Gauhar Jaan and V. D. Savarkar. Sampath was born in Karnataka. After academic training in engineering, mathematics, and finance, he worked in banking. In 2008, he published a history of the Wadiyar Dynasty of Mysore—a childhood fascination. He published a biography of Gauhar Jaan to critical acclaim in 2012, and won the Yuva Puraskar in English literature from the Sahitya Akademi. The next year, Sampath published a biography of S. Balachander to positive reviews. In 2013, Sampath left his job at Hewlett-Packard and began a PhD in ethnomusicology and history at the University of Queensland. In 2019 and 2021, he wrote a two-part biography of Savarkar that was held to be an uncritical work by most critics. In September 2021, he was selected as a Fellow of the Royal Historical Society. Sampath Raj (born 25 December 1968) is an Indian actor who works predominantly in Tamil language, Tamil and Telugu language, Telugu films, in addition to Kannada and Malayalam films. He is best known for appearing in each film of director Venkat Prabhu's trilogy, consisting of ''Chennai 600028'', ''Saroja (2008 film), Saroja'' and ''Goa (2010 film), Goa''. He has also acted in supporting roles in various other films. He is mostly known in negative roles. Sampath Nandi (born 20 June 1980) is an Indian film director, screenwriter and producer who works primarily in Telugu cinema. Career After completing his bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from the V.L. College of Pharmacy, Nandi assisted Posani Krishna Murali for about three years. In the meantime he used to make ad-films in Mumbai and Bengaluru. In 2010, Nandi made his directorial debut with ''Yemaindi Ee Vela'', starring Varun Sandesh and Nisha Aggarwal. Sampath Tennakoon (20 June 1959 – 3 December 2021: සම්පත් තෙන්නකෝන් inhala, was an actor in Sri Lankan cinema, theater and television. Personal life Sampath Tennakoon was born on 20 June 1959. Sampath Amaratunge (born 1 November 1964) is the chairman of the University Grants Commission, Sri Lanka. He was appointed by the president on 2 January 2020, and assumed the role the following day. Amaratunge was previously the vice-chancellor at the University of Sri Jayewardenepura, Sri Lanka, and the chairman of the Committee of Vice-Chancellors and Directors (CVCD). He was elected as a member of the Association of Commonwealth Universities United Kingdom as a member representing constituency II. Suranga Sampath is a Sri Lankan blind cricketer. He was part of the Sri Lankan team during the 2017 ICC World T20 for the Blind. In the 2017 Blind T20 World Cup, he was the top scorer throughout the tournament with an aggregate of 733 runs with an average of excess 150. He also scored 5 centuries during the tournament, the most by any player in a single Blind T20 World Cup series; thus becoming the only batsman to score 5 centuries in a single edition of a Blind T20 World Cup. Kolonnage Mayura Sampath Perera (born 30 October 1965) is a Sri Lankan professional football player and manager. Career He was a player and captain for Sri Lanka national football team. Srinivasan Sampath (born 1961) is an Indian electrochemist, nanotechnologist and a professor of the department of chemistry at Indian Institute of Science.
