Head Automatica
Head Automatica was an American Rock music, rock band from Brooklyn, New York (state), New York fronted by Daryl Palumbo (also of Glassjaw). History The beginnings of the band stemmed from singer Daryl Palumbo's interests in the hip hop music, hip hop and Britpop genres. Palumbo felt that the material that was inspired by these genres did not fit into Glassjaw's spectrum and so Head Automatica was created to showcase this. The band's debut album, ''Decadence'', was released August 17, 2004. Charting on the Billboard 200, ''Billboard'' 200 and Top Heatseekers charts, the album was the brainchild of Palumbo, who was known better for his work in post-hardcore music, and Dan 'The Automator' Nakamura, famous for his production work with groups including Gorillaz and Handsome Boy Modeling School. The two allegedly met at a party and worked on what later became the album. Palumbo then recruited the other current members as a touring group, and toured the United States, playing with ...

Thirteen Day Getaway
''Thirteen Day Getaway'' is the second and final studio album by the punk rock band CIV. It was released on April 7, 1998, on Atlantic Records. The album is dedicated to Raybeez. Critical reception ''The Plain Dealer'' wrote that "Civ's clean, moderately paced, somewhat melodic pop punk, topped by Anthony Civorelli's monotonous, nasal vocals, makes the group sound like hundreds of other post-Green Day pop punk bands." ''The San Diego Union-Tribune'' called the album "top-loaded with songs that suggest CIV knows how to spike pop hooks with a punk charge, to use melody rather than refuse it." Track listing #"Secondhand Superstar" – 2:44 #"Big Girl" – 2:49 #"Itchycoo Park" – 2:21 #"Haven't Been Myself in a While" – 2:36 #"Everyday" – 3:08 #"Shout It" – 2:30 #"Owner's Manual" – :34 #"Something Special" – 2:38 #"Using Someone Else" – 2:17 #"It's Not Your Fault" – 2:22 #"Living Life" – 2:00 #"Ordinary" – 2:40 #"Little Men" – 3:31 "What Happened to the Grunge? ...

Set Your Goals (album)
''Set Your Goals'' is the debut studio album by the punk rock band CIV. It was released in October 1995 on Lava Records. The album is best known for the hit single "Can't Wait One Minute More." Although listed as co-producer in the inlay, Walter Schreifels has indicated that he was the main songwriter for the album (despite not being a member of the band). "Can't Wait One Minute More" and "Choices Made" were released as music videos. "Can't Wait One Minute More" features vocals from Lou Koller of Sick Of It All. The San Francisco Bay-area pop punk/hardcore act Set Your Goals named themselves after this album. Critical reception Ira Robbins, in ''Trouser Press'', wrote: "Making the most of clear sound, tight, unfussy playing and a full complement of rhythmic shifts (these guys remember when moshing was a dance tempo, not a slamming catch-all), CIV recycles with detailed dignity." Track listing #"Set Your Goals" - 1:51 #"Do Something" - 1:14 #"So Far, So Good... So What" - ...

The Complete Discography
''The'' () is a grammatical article in English, denoting persons or things already mentioned, under discussion, implied or otherwise presumed familiar to listeners, readers, or speakers. It is the definite article in English. ''The'' is the most frequently used word in the English language; studies and analyses of texts have found it to account for seven percent of all printed English-language words. It is derived from gendered articles in Old English which combined in Middle English and now has a single form used with pronouns of any gender. The word can be used with both singular and plural nouns, and with a noun that starts with any letter. This is different from many other languages, which have different forms of the definite article for different genders or numbers. Pronunciation In most dialects, "the" is pronounced as (with the voiced dental fricative followed by a schwa) when followed by a consonant sound, and as (homophone of pronoun ''thee'') when followed by a v ...

Bringin' It Down
''Bringin' It Down'' is an LP released by the New York hardcore band Judge. It was released on Revelation Records in 1989. The original recording of the album was released under the title '' Chung King Can Suck It'' (with two additional tracks that did not make it onto ''Bringin' It Down''). This recording, which had been made at Chung King Studios, was rejected by the band after thousands of dollars had been spent on it. Since there had been substantial pre-orders of ''Bringin' It Down'' the label printed 110 copies of the rejected recording under its alternate title, to satisfy demand until the band could re-record it at a different studio. The popularity of Judge in the hardcore straight edge Straight edge (sometimes abbreviated sXe or signified by XXX or X) is a subculture of hardcore punk whose adherents refrain from using alcohol, tobacco, and other recreational drugs, in reaction to the excesses of punk subculture. Chung King Can Suck It (LP)
''Chung King Can Suck It'' is a limited-pressing colored vinyl album by New York City band Judge, containing the original version of what was to be the ''Bringin' It Down'' album. The title of the album is a direct insult to the Chung King recording studio in New York City (then known as Chung King House of Metal). Album history Judge had gone into Chung King with only one three-day weekend of studio time block-booked in order to record their first album, since band members John Porcelly and Sammy Siegler were set to tour with their main band Youth of Today in Europe later that month. The studio was home to many of the popular (and now legendary) rap acts of the day, including the Beastie Boys, Run-DMC and LL Cool J; Youth Of Today had recorded their third album ''We're Not in This Alone'' at the same studio earlier in the year, so Porcelly and Siegler were already familiar with the place. According to a 2005 interview with Judge guitarist Porcell in ''AMP'', all three of tho ...

We're Not In This Alone
''We're Not in This Alone'' is the third and final full-length studio album by New York City, New York hardcore punk band Youth of Today. It was originally released by Caroline Records (U.S.), Caroline Records in 1988. Background and songs Youth of Today had broken up briefly in 1988, with lead singer and co-founder Ray Cappo briefly relocating to India to pursue his interest in International Society for Krishna Consciousness, Hare Krishna, while guitarist and co-founder Porcell (John Porcelly) got out his frustrations with both the breakup of the band and what he saw as negative elements in the scene, with the project band Project X (band), Project X, and with Judge (band), Judge. The breakup was short-lived; the group reconvened with former WarZone bassist Walter Schreifels and drummer Sammy Siegler not long afterward, hence Cappo's declaration of "We're back!" at the beginning of the album's opening track, "Flame Still Burns". One notable track, "No More", is a condemnation o ...

You're Only Young Once
''You're Only Young Once'' is a 1937 comedy film directed by George B. Seitz. Following '' A Family Affair'', it is the second film of the Andy Hardy series. Lewis Stone replaces Lionel Barrymore as Judge Hardy while Fay Holden replaced Spring Byington as his wife since both Barrymore and Byington were too expensive for the sequel's modest budget. Mickey Rooney would repeat his role as Andy while Cecilia Parker, as his sister, and Sara Haden, as Aunt Milly, would also reprise their roles from the original film. They were the only original actors transferred to the series.http://www.tcm.com/tcmdb/title/518/You-re-Only-Young-Once/articles.html Synopsis The Hardy family goes to Catalina for a two-week vacation, where Judge Hardy (Lewis Stone) tries to catch a swordfish, Marian (Cecilia Parker) falls in love with a married lawyer/lifeguard, and Andy goes around with a "sophisticated" girl.
