Samantha Soule
Samantha Soule is an American actress. She is known for her role in the Netflix series '' Godless'', as well as ''Nurse Jackie'', ''The Blacklist'', '' The Queen's Gambit'' and ''Tales of the City''. She also appears in the Martin Scorsese film ''The Irishman''. She is also known for her roles in Broadway plays, including '' Dinner at Eight'',Isherwood, Charles"Review: ‘Dinner at Eight’"''Variety'', December 19, 2002 and Off-Broadway performances, which include ''The Other Thing'' and ''Killers and Other Family''. As a film director, her movies, include ''Midday Black Midnight Blue'', for which she also co-wrote the screenplay. Theater Soule performed a leading role in a theater festival in 2013 that was devoted to playwright Lucy Thurber, and was titled ''The Hill Town Plays''. It was produced by Rattlestick Playwrights Theater, and took place in a number of theaters in New York City. The Drama Desk Award is an annual prize recognizing excellence in New York theatre. First bestowed in 1955 as the Vernon Rice Award, the prize initially honored Off-Broadway productions, as well as Off-off-Broadway, and those in the vicinity. Following the 1964 renaming as the Drama Desk Awards, Broadway productions were included beginning with the 1968–69 award season. The awards are considered a significant American theater distinction. History The Drama Desk organization was formed in 1949 by a group of New York theater critics, editors, reporters and publishers, in order to make the public aware of the vital issues concerning the theatrical industry.
