Samad Ali Changezi
Samad Ali Changezi was a Flight lieutenant in Pakistan Air Force who fought in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1971. He belonged to the Hazara ethnic minority of Quetta, Pakistan and was a member of the No. 9 Squadron – the Pakistan Air Force's first fighter squadron. He remains among the few confirmed aerial combat casualties involving the Lockheed F-104 Starfighter.Davies 2014, pp. 85–87. Service Background The first direct air-to-air combat engagements between an F-104 and a MiG-21 took place during the war. The first confirmed loss was that of Wing Commander Mervyn Middlecoat over the Gulf of Kutch on 12–13 December 1971. K-13 (missile)
The Vympel K-13 (NATO reporting name: AA-2 "Atoll") is a short-range, infrared homing air-to-air missile developed by the Soviet Union. It is similar in appearance and function to the American AIM-9B Sidewinder from which it was reverse-engineered. Although it since has been replaced by more modern missiles in frontline service, it saw widespread service in many nations. Sharbat Ali Changezi
Air-Marshal Sharbat Ali Changezi (Urdu: شربت على ݘݩگݐڒی; b. 10 March 1932), , is a retired three-star air officer in the Pakistan Air Force and a former fighter pilot who led the aerial operations in the Indo-Pakistani War of 1965 and 1971. In 1955, Changezi notably refused to meet the Afghan Monarch Zahir Shah, while he was on visit to Pakistan, because of the ill-treatment meted out to the Hazara people in Afghanistan. Musa Khan (general)
General Muhammad Musa Khan ( ur, ; ) was a Pakistan Army senior general who served as the 4th Commander-in-Chief of Pakistan Army from 1958 to 1966, under President Ayub Khan. Following his tenure as C-in-C of the Army, he later became a politician. Gaining commission as a Second lieutenant in the British Indian Army, Khan served with distinction in the Burma and North African campaigns as part of the Allied effort in World War II. Following the Partition of India in 1947, he opted for the Dominion of Pakistan, subsequently transferring his military service to the newly created Pakistan Army. He led forward combat brigades against India during the First Kashmir War in 1947–1948, and eventually ascended the ranks to become C-in-C after the Pakistan Army imposed martial law in the country following the 1958 coup d'état.
