Sam Tevi
Samiuela Tevi (born November 15, 1994) is a former American football offensive tackle. He played college football at Utah, and was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the sixth round of the 2017 NFL draft. College career Tevi played college football at Utah. There, he played in 48 games for the Utes football team. Professional career Los Angeles Chargers Tevi was drafted by the Los Angeles Chargers in the sixth round, 190th overall, in the 2017 NFL draft. He played in 14 games as rookie, starting one at left tackle in place of the injured Russell Okung. Tevi entered 2018 as a backup tackle to starters Russell Okung and Joe Barksdale. He made his first start of the season in Week 2 at right tackle in place of an injured Barksdale. Tackle is a playing position in gridiron football. Historically, in the one-platoon system prevalent in the late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries, a tackle played on both offense and defense. In the modern system of specialized units, offensive tackle and defensive tackle are separate positions, and the stand-alone term "tackle" refers to the offensive tackle position only. The offensive tackle (OT, T) is a position on the offensive line, left and right. Like other offensive linemen, their job is to block: to physically keep defenders away from the offensive player who has the football and enable him to advance the football and eventually score a touchdown. Russell Okung ( ; born October 7, 1988) is an American football offensive tackle who is a free agent. He played college football for Oklahoma State University, and was twice recognized as an All-American. He was drafted by the Seattle Seahawks with the sixth overall pick in the 2010 NFL Draft, and has also played for the Denver Broncos, Los Angeles Chargers, and Carolina Panthers. The injured reserve list ( IR list) is a designation used in North American professional sports leagues for athletes who suffer injuries and become unable to play. The exact name of the list varies by league; it is known as "injured reserve" in the National Football League (NFL) and National Hockey League (NHL), the "injured list" in the Canadian Football League (CFL), and the injured list (historically known as the "disabled list") in Major League Baseball (MLB). Joseph Brennen Barksdale (born January 4, 1989) is an American singer-songwriter, electric guitar player, and former American football offensive tackle. Born in Detroit, Michigan he attended Louisiana State University on a full ride American football scholarship. He was drafted by the Oakland Raiders in the third round of the 2011 NFL Draft.
