Sam Shade
Samuel Richard Shade (born June 14, 1973) is an American football coach and former player, currently the head coach of the Miles College football team. He played eight seasons in the National Football League (NFL) from 1995 to 2002 as a safety for the Cincinnati Bengals and the Washington Redskins. Shade played college football at the University of Alabama and was selected in the fourth round of the 1995 NFL Draft. American football (referred to simply as football in the United States and Canada), also known as gridiron, is a team sport played by two teams of eleven players on a rectangular field with goalposts at each end. The offense, the team with possession of the oval-shaped football, attempts to advance down the field by running with the ball or passing it, while the defense, the team without possession of the ball, aims to stop the offense's advance and to take control of the ball for themselves. Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference
The Southern Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (SIAC) is a college athletic conference affiliated with the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division II level. Miles Golden Bears Football
Miles College is a private historically black college in Fairfield, Alabama. Founded in 1898, it is associated with the Christian Methodist Episcopal Church (CME Church) and a member of the United Negro College Fund. History Miles College began organization efforts in 1893 and was founded in 1898 by the Colored Methodist Episcopal Church. It was chartered as Miles Memorial College, in honor of Bishop William H. Patrick Nix
Patrick Nix is an American football coach and former player. He played college football as a quarterback at Auburn University from 1992 to 1995. Nix served as the head football coach at Henderson State University from 1999 to 2000, compiling a record of 3–19. Playing career Nix played high school football at Etowah High School in Attalla, Alabama. He then attended Auburn University, where he was a standout quarterback for the Auburn Tigers. He came in for an injured Stan White against Alabama to help lead the Tigers to a perfect 11–0 record during his sophomore season in 1993. Nix graduated in 1995 as the school's career leader in passing efficiency. James Bradberry
James Bradberry IV (born August 4, 1993) is an American football cornerback for the Philadelphia Eagles of the National Football League (NFL). He played college football at Samford and was drafted by the Carolina Panthers in the second round of the 2016 NFL Draft. Bradberry has also been a member of the New York Giants. Jaquiski Tartt ( ; born February 18, 1992) is an American football safety who is a free agent. He played college football at Samford and was drafted by the San Francisco 49ers in the second round of the 2015 NFL Draft. Early years Tartt attended Davidson High School in Mobile, Alabama. Tartt played basketball in high school and did not start playing football until his senior season. Despite playing football for one season, he committed to Samford University to play college football. College career Tartt attended Samford from 2010 to 2014. Corey White
Corey White (born May 9, 1990) is a former American football cornerback. He played college football for Samford University. He was drafted by the New Orleans Saints in the fifth round of the 2012 NFL Draft. Early years White was born in Dunwoody, Georgia and attended Dunwoody High School, before accepting a scholarship to play college football for Samford University.
