Sam Polo (November 7, 1872 – October 3, 1966) was an American make up artist and actor of the silent movies era known for ''The Lion's Claws'' (1918), ''The Great Circus Mystery'' (1925) and ''A Man from Nowhere'' (1920). He was the brother of Eddie Polo. He died in Woodland Hills, Los Angeles, California, and is buried at Inglewood Park Cemetery, Los Angeles, California. Inglewood Park Cemetery
Inglewood Park Cemetery, 720 East Florence Avenue in Inglewood, California, was founded in 1905. A number of notable people, including entertainment and sports personalities, have been interred or entombed there. History The proposed establishment of "the largest cemetery in the world" was announced in November 1905, to be "on a high strip of ground two miles southwest of Los Angeles". In 1907, a "handsome, two-story, white granite chapel" was completed at a cost of "about $40,000". Also in 1907 the management placed an order "with the factory in the East" for a $12,000 funeral car to be used "on the electric line" that ran on a right-of-way off Redondo Boulevard (today's Florence Avenue) in front of the cemetery. Eddie Polo (1 February 1875 – 14 June 1961) was an Austrian-American actor of the silent era. After his acting career ended in the mid-1940s he worked as a makeup artist. Plot As described in a film magazine, Bob Gilmore (Corbett), a young Washington clubman, pleads guilty to his foster father's forgery and becomes a fugitive from justice. As he is about to leave, he learns that his supposed parents adopted him from a foundling society. His only clue to his identity is some baby clothing and a ring. While escaping from the city, he is set upon by the White Circle gang of thieves who throw him in front of a train. He miraculously escapes from death and reaches New York City.
