Sam Little (golfer)
Sam Little (born 31 August 1975) is an English professional golfer and sports agent. He won five times on the Challenge Tour. Early and personal life Little was born in London, England, and is Jewish and has been a member of Hendon Reform Synagogue. Career Little turned professional in 1997, and joined the Challenge Tour in 1999, where he recorded his first win in 2001. In 2004 he won for the second time at that level, and graduated to the European Tour at the end of the season via qualifying school. He became renowned for last-gasp performances to maintain his Tour playing rights, ending narrowly inside the top 115 qualifiers in 2005, 2008 and 2009, and finishing runner-up in the final tournament of 2007 to move up to 76th in the Order of Merit from outside the top 170. The Open Championship
The Open Championship, often referred to as The Open or the British Open, is the oldest golf tournament in the world, and one of the most prestigious. Founded in 1860, it was originally held annually at Prestwick Golf Club in Scotland. Later the venue rotated between a select group of coastal links golf courses in the United Kingdom. It is organised by the R&A. The Open is one of the four men's major golf tournaments, the others being the Masters Tournament, the PGA Championship and the U.S. Open. Pelle Edberg
Per Oscar "Pelle" Edberg (born 13 April 1979) is a Swedish professional golfer and former European Tour player. He was runner-up at the 2008 SAS Masters, the 2010 Saint-Omer Open, and the 2015 D+D Real Czech Masters. Early life Edberg was born and grew up in Jönköping, Sweden, as the youngest of four sons to Stefan Edberg, the owner of Hook Golf Club, situated 30 kilometers south of the city of Jönköping. Edberg and his brothers Hans, Jonas and Calle all spend a lot of their childhoods at the golf course. Simon Thornton
Simon Thornton (born 18 March 1977) is an Irish professional golfer. He won the 2013 Najeti Hotels et Golfs Open on the European Tour. Career Thornton was a late starter to golf, only taking up the sport in his late teens and turning professional at the advanced age of 28. He began as an assistant club professional at Royal County Down, playing in regional Irish PGA events, where his achievements included recording four straight monthly wins with the Ulster Golfers Alliance. He began playing on the Challenge Tour in 2009, finishing 51st before earning his European Tour card at qualifying school at the end of the season. Andrew Thomas Johnston (born 18 February 1989) is an English professional golfer who plays on the European Tour. He has one win on the European Tour, which came at the 2016 Open de España. Known affectionately as 'Beef' since his youth, he has carried the nickname into his professional career, and is a popular character amongst the crowd. The 2011 Challenge Tour was a series of professional golf tournaments collectively known as the Challenge Tour. The Challenge Tour is Europe's official developmental tour and is organised by the PGA European Tour. Massimo Scarpa
Massimo Scarpa (born 5 June 1970) is an Italian professional golfer. Scarpa was born in Venice and turned professional at the end of 1992 having won the European Amateur. He played on the European Tour and the second tier Challenge Tour between 1993 and 2006. He won once on the European Tour and twice on the Challenge Tour. He also won the Italian National Omnium three times in four years between 1998 and 2001. He played on the Italian team in the 1999 Alfred Dunhill Cup at St Andrews, beating three-time major champion Payne Stewart in the second round less than a month before Stewart's death.
