Sam Bishop
Sam Bishop, (born March 1, 1983 in Moorestown Township, New Jersey) is a U.S. soccer goalkeeper. Bishop grew up in Moorestown Township and attended Lehigh University, playing on the men's soccer team from 2001 to 2004. After graduating in 2005, he signed with the Harrisburg City Islanders in the USL Second Division. In 2007, he was part of the Islanders USL-2 championship team. In 2008, he moved to the expansion Pennsylvania Stoners as a player and assistant coach. In 2008, he also became an assistant coach with the NCAA Division III Muhlenberg College soccer team. In 2009, Bishop returned to his alma mater, Lehigh University Lehigh University (LU) is a private research university in Bethlehem, Pennsylvania in the Lehigh Valley region of eastern Pennsylvania. Moorestown is a township in Burlington County in the U.S. state of New Jersey. It is an eastern suburb of Philadelphia and geographically part of the South Jersey region of the state. As of the 2020 U.S. census, the township's population was 21,355, an increase of 629 (+3.0%) from the 2010 census count of 20,726, which reflected an increase of 1,709 (+9.0%) from the 19,017 counted in the 2000 census. Moorestown was authorized to be incorporated as a township by an act of the New Jersey Legislature on March 11, 1922, from portions of Chester Township (now Maple Shade Township), subject to the approval of voters in the affected area in a referendum.
