Salvatore Piscicelli
Salvatore Piscicelli (born 4 January 1948) is an Italian director, screenwriter and film critic. Born in Pomigliano d'Arco, after an activity as a film critic, Piscicelli started his film career with some documentary short films shot and set in his hometown. His feature debut film, ''Immacolata and Concetta: The Other Jealousy'', won several awards including the Silver Leopard at the Locarno International Film Festival. His 1981 film ''Le occasioni di Rosa'' entered the 38th Venice International Film Festival. In 2001, using only digital supports, he shot ''Quartetto'', the first Italian film to follow the dictates of the avant-garde filmmaking movement "Dogme 95, Dogma". His last film is the 2003 biographical drama ''Alla fine della notte''. Pomigliano D'Arco
Pomigliano d'Arco is a municipality in the Metropolitan City of Naples in Italy, located north of Mount Vesuvius. It is known for its industrial pole among the largest and most influential in southern Italy. In the industrial area there is, among others, the Gian Battista Vico factory of Fiat Chrysler Automobiles, the center Elasis (also Fiat), the Alenia Aermacchi and Avio plants, as well as having hosted the first airport of Campania in the 1960s. ''Regina'' (trad. "Queen") is a 1987 Italian drama film co-written and directed by Salvatore Piscicelli. Plot Regina is a beautiful actress of forty in an existential crisis. During a party in the house of his agent Lalla he meets Lorenzo, a young man with whom he establishes a troubled relationship. Their relationship gradually consolidates, but in a sadomasochistic way: the violence and mutual humiliation between the two are continuous. Upon returning to the city after a vacation spent on an island, Regina no longer intends to see Lorenzo and closes herself in the house. But Lalla makes them meet again. In their dramatic encounter, Regina offends Lorenzo and injures her arm with a knife, telling him she would report him. Lorenzo takes the knife in his hand and hits Regina.
