Salvador Domingo Felipe Jacinto Dalí i Domènech, Marquess of Dalí of Púbol (; ; ; 11 May 190423 January 1989) was a Spanish Surrealism, surrealist artist renowned for his technical skill, precise draftsmanship, and the striking and bizarre images in his work. Born in Figueres, Catalonia, Spain, Dalí received his formal education in fine arts in Madrid. Influenced by Impressionism and the Renaissance art, Renaissance masters from a young age he became increasingly attracted to Cubism and avant-garde movements. He moved closer to Surrealism in the late 1920s and joined the Surrealist group in 1929, soon becoming one of its leading exponents. His best-known work, ''The Persistence of Memory'', was completed in August 1931, and is one of the most famous Surrealist paintings. Dalí lived in France throughout the Spanish Civil War (1936 to 1939) before leaving for the United States in 1940 where he achieved commercial success. The song Composed and recorded in Santa Cruz de Tenerife, Spain, this is the first song created for the album. Originally titled "Illegali", the two rappers decided to change the title of the song paying tribute to the figure of the Spanish painter Salvador Dalí, as they have found a similarity in the lifestyle of the painter with the rapper stereotype. Although it was not extracted as a single, the song was certified double platinum by FIMI for selling over 100,000 copies. The Salvador Dalí Museum is an art museum in St. Petersburg, Florida, United States, dedicated to the works of Salvador Dalí. It is located on the downtown St. Petersburg waterfront by 5th Avenue Southeast, Bay Shore Drive, and Dan Wheldon Way. Description Reportedly costing over $30 million, the surrealism-inspired museum structure features a large glass entryway and skylight made of thick glass. Referred to as the "Enigma", the glass entryway is tall and encompasses a spiral staircase. The remaining walls are composed of thick concrete, designed to protect the collection from hurricanes which hit the region from time to time.
