Ray Grey
Raymod "Ray" Standish Grey (February 19, 1890, San Diego, California - April 18, 1925, Glendale, California) was an American film director, film actor, screenwriter and the father of actress Virginia Grey. Grey got his start as an actor in Mack Sennett's Keystone Studios films. His acting debut was in '' A Movie Star'' (1916). In the early 1920s, he switched off between being the main director of features and being a second unit or assistant director; such as with the film '' Molly O''' (1921), Flickering Youth (1924), and Salome and Shenandoah. Primary directed such films as ''Among Those Present'' (1919), '' Andy Takes a Flyer'' (1925), and '' Between Meals'' (1926). The last film was released after Grey's early death at age 35 from pneumonia. Grey is buried at Forest Lawn in Glendale, California. Louise Fazenda
Louise Fazenda (June 17, 1895 – April 17, 1962) was an American film actress, appearing chiefly in silent comedy films. Early life Fazenda was born in her maternal grandparents' house in Lafayette, Indiana, the daughter of merchandise broker Joseph A. Fazenda, who was born in Mexico, and Nelda T. Schilling Fazenda, a Chicago native. She was of Portuguese, French, and Italian descent on her father's side and of German descent on her mother's. The Fazenda family relocated to California, where Joseph Fazenda opened up a grocery store. Louise attended Los Angeles High School and St. Mary's Convent and kept busy with a number of after-school jobs, one of which was delivering groceries for the family business via a horse-drawn wagon. Sybil Seely (born Sibye Trevilla, January 2, 1900 – June 26, 1984) was a silent film actress who worked with the well known silent film comedy actor Buster Keaton. She was credited in some of her films as Sibye Trevilla. Early years Seely was born to Harry Travilla and Lucie Ellen Boyker in Los Angeles, the sixth of seven children. She was of French, English, and Scottish descent. Kathryn McGuire (December 6, 1903 – October 10, 1978) was an American dancer and actress. Early life Born in Peoria, Illinois, McGuire was said to be recognized by critics and fans alike as one of the rising stars in film. Selected one of the WAMPAS Baby Stars in 1922, she was the first person in her family to enter the acting profession. At an early age, McGuire's family moved to Aurora, Illinois, and then to Chicago. McGuire received her education from the Jennings Seminary in Aurora, and remained there even after her parents left that city. By the time she graduated at about the age of fourteen, her parents were ready to move to California. McGuire was highly interested in dancing, and took classes under the leading ballet masters when she arrived in California.
